What the hell is wrong with these people!!! Read the subsequent replies some have attempted to put him right but he’s not having it!

Don’t have a clue who he is but he is obviously towing the Talksport party line for their mate Allardyce, and getting schooled.

All of these completely ignorant pundits who dont pay and sit there watching Everton week in/week out and are jumping on the Allardyce bandwagon to defend him and have a dig at the Everton supporters is only going to antagonise the supporters even more and can only result in a substantial increase in the rift between Allardyce and the supporters.

I wouldn't actually be surprised if Allardyce's PR machine have something to do with it as he has a lot of friends and has a well known history of having a go at supporters to protect himself and his ego.

These pundits seem to forgot the money we spent this year, the fact sam took over and didn't move us on shows he is just a man who put's out fires.

Some how Sams PR machine has made us the fans the villains for wanting to be better. How the hell do Liverpool fans not get this sorta media attention every year when they always state "this is our year". Have to hand it to them for being optimistic and stuff but no media outlet has a go for them always wanting to be better, it seems if your outside the top 5 or 6 then you have no right to want to be better and should just shut up and be happy with what you got

Daniel Levy should have listened to all of these wise pundits.

It was so much easier for Spurs to exist outside of the top five as a nothing club.

I hope he dosent buy them, yes he has spent a lot of money but it's been a disaster so far since he came here
I know everyone has their own perceptions of who has done what but I think his investment and the prospective stadium outweighs the episodes of voodoo, yellow tie Jim, and acceptable losses. I'd be interested if just a touch wary of what he'd do with full control.

Where do you think we will be with a new manager at the end of next season? Answer essentially where we are now. The idea that a new manager will better 7th or 8th after spending a few months finding out who are the crap players and who are worth keeping, is frankly optimistic. The advantage of a new manager as we all know is not a magic wand with instant success, but a slog through 2 or 3 years to put us where we hope to be. I go for parting with Sam this season with a handshake, but let's not pretend this will transform us next season. It will just be the start of a process beginning from square one, and will depend on who we get and how quickly he and his new staff adjust. The only obviously available name is Silva, but I doubt many want him anyway. Who wants a manager with a Hull and Watford pedigree?

Your making my point for me.

What's the point of investing a load of dosh in playing staff for a manager who is not going to be here in 12 months time.

Far better to clear the slate and start afresh with a new DOF and Manager to build for the future now as opposed to a year in the future.

As to who that manager may be, I suspect the Mosh has identified his targets.

The assertion that Sam 'had us over a barrel' with an 18 month contract is a nonsense. No manager with the requisite experience would have come on a 6 month contract so its a moot point. We had allegedly approached MON with a similar arrangement and got laughed away.
David Moyes

From the Guardian, apologies if posted previously ...

“Everton, on other hand, went into the weekend 19th out of the 20 clubs in the Premier League when it comes to the number of shots they have managed on Allardyce’s watch, 19th in terms of efforts on target, 19th in chances created and 19th for attempted dribbles. Again, Allardyce can point out that the only statistics that should matter are the points that have taken the team into the top half of the table. Plainly, however, it does matter to many Everton followers. The supporters want more. Is that so unreasonable?”

Pretty damning stuff.

Turgid viewing & it needs to be stopped.

Everyone’s perception of us is that we are also rans which is thanks to our boards ineptness for years.

They’ve allowed us to be seen as plucky old Everton and not a challenge to the media darling teams, so now when we have a bit of investment and the chance to progress, the people who’ve looked down on us for years don’t like it as it might upset the status quo.

Remember, when we qualified for The Champions League, it was if they were willing for us to get knocked out, and in fact we should have stepped aside for Liverpool to defend their title.

not to even mention when we ended 5th/6th etc seasons in a row,we were still called a mid table team, and we are pushing above our weight etc etc,

Apart from David Moyes and his 6 month contract - http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-david-moyes-as-new-manager-on-six-month-deal

Of course he had us over a barrel. It is common knowledge that Everton were offering him 6 months. He had us by the goolies as we were manager-less, desperate, doing awful and so he managed to get another 12 months on top of it.
True but I dont blame Allardyce in the slightest. For once haha. I blame Mosh for going bacl to him cap in hand and making it all the more embarrassing for us.

Yes but you also said the part I quoted in that the league was rubbish.
The league is rubbish..... when 3/4 of the league is garbage then it's predominantly exactly that.

How long have we taken pot shots at Scotland for being a 2 or 3 team league. We are headed there.
