That’s why I said it’s all about opinions mate.... suns shining ...Everton can be locked away till August...thankfully
Haha. If you believe that you're the one who's borderline insane mate.

Rather that than have low standards hey.

Really?

We had DCL up front for half a season. Leaked goals for fun. Poor signings who couldn't get into the team. No pace. No balance.

We had no right to say we should be hammering anyone.

But that's an opinion of how much some rate the squad. I personally believe there's relegated sides with better squads.

No chance.... the league is absolutely garbage. All newly promoted sides look like surviving.

Our side has dropped as some key players have got old and the likes of Keane and Rooney have not improved us. But we are definitely in the top 10 for squad quality. Allardyce has made hims2lf look like a genius because injuries and a disinterested previous manager ruined us.

Im not overly surprised he didnt do th elap of appreciation, i dont blame him to be honest, he definitely doesnt deserve the abuse or sentiment felt by fans, why would you run that gauntlet or inflame the situation. Fair play to him i say. The ironic thing is he deserves a lot of appreciation.

Its turgid stuff, we knew what we were getting into really all that remains is to see how it plays out, for me ill always be grateful to him regardless.

You mean comparing us to Newcastle and West ham, throwing people under the bus, insulting the fans intelligence and being a wum warrants appreciation?

And that’s the blind panic that set in and allowed us to be lumbered with this thing at the helm

No blind panic. Just a recognition of how awful the squad is.

Seasons over. He's got us 8th.

Anyone who thought or expected us to play entertaining, revolutionary, free flowing football after what Koeman and Walsh bungled together, really needs to lower expectations for next season.

Whoever is in charge won't get anything out of this "squad"

Not for me. Personally feel it's down to poor management of those clubs than the players.

Agreed. The squad is poor; and needs an overhaul before it it will be capable of finishing any higher than 7th or 8th.

Absolute and utter wham...Do you go the game?Do you endure...now thats a word endure...his utter banal clueless tactical nous...If you seriously think this utter chancer can be given more time then you are border line insane...all about opinions innit....

To be honest mate thats just posting dogma i dont really care how you feel about him, i can say your post is jarg anyone can, but there is very little to back up, points help and debate hooks i find.

You are entitled to your opinion I suppose but boy, you are wrong on so many levels......

The attitude of these "Better the Devil you know" characters is totally against the ethos of what Everton stands for. Say nothing for this particular manager who has been sacked more times than Frank Spencer!

I am not going to go through his litany of faults, many on here have covered them, but if you think he listens to the fans your arguments start to lose credibility right there.

I don't think anyone hero worshipped Martinez or Koeman, their faults were apparent early on, and to suggest that supporters don't know what they want is a facile statement. As an Everton fan of 50 years I will tell what I want and expect.

I want the club to appoint a youngish hungry passionate European manager with drive and ambition who sets up teams to play fast paced, passing, attacking football. That should be the clubs strategy moving forward whoever the manager is and it should determine the type of players we sign. We know it's not an exact science so if one particular manager turns out to be a disaster after a few months we can get rid and bring in another knowing we have the players in place.

I could well be wrong mate, its a view point is all and a carefully considered one. I respect your post though, a lot of the posts in this thread are ill evidenced based and very infantile, i respect that you bothered to give reasons for your opinion, beyond referring to gravy or coming up with abusive ways of insulting a man. I still stand by my view point mind, i know its not the popular narrative. Im quite saddened about the treatment Allardyce is getting if i am honest and im not a particular advocate of his, regardless if he stays or goes i think he deserves some respect and appreciation for the job he has done in the context.

I disagree on a few point especially on Martinez and Koeman and fan boom and bust love for them.

Im not a particular advocate of Allardyce, but i believe the club is relatively unstable at the moment and i believe there is more change coming. I believe there needs to be stability in places stability can be achieved. I believe he has earned an opportunity. I also believe if you appoint a manager you have to back them, its part of what i believe works in football. Hiring and firing managers consistently i believe is fools gold, i believe there evidence there to support that.

He has done what he was brought in to do keep us up, so deserves some credit for that, the players are getting off with a lot of stick because its aimed his way , they have been utterly rubbish , not just under him but unsy and Koeman , he at least got the organised and up the table.
The players he brought in have been OK .
He offers the board stability and protects there investment, and it will be a big job getting a decent squad together for next season not sure they will bin him at all.
Thats the plus side of him.
The football has been dire,no excitement or shots on goal for whole half's of games, he hasn't engaged with the fans, just seems a bad fit to be honest at the club.
if you want to do just more than be in the prem he isn't the man to take us forward and it lacks ambition to accept that.
I think we need a clear out from top to bottom, on the pitch and behind the scenes and need a younger more energetic manager to carry us forward.
The press seem to think we are being harsh on wanting more , but do they just expect people to turn up out of duty every week and be bored senseless, the fans have a right to want to at least be given a bit of hope of being entertained.

Basically next season is creating an identity, finish around the same place in the table/go for Europe, good cup runs.

Following season build on that.

5-6 additions will result in the same mess we started out with this season...a bunch of strangers on the pitch.
It seems like you're suggesting limited incomings so here's what I think we need.

1-2 starting cbs. Keeping around Holgate, Keane, and possibly RFM especially if the new boss (<I'm willing this to happen) is a fan of a 3(5) back system like me.

Depending on what Antonee Robinson looks like a starting lb. In fact we need one no matter what as lately it seems as though Leighton can only make it through half a season.

One more attack minded cm to go along with Gana, Morgan, Beni, Tom, and Davy. Get Rooney out.

One or two more wingers depending on if Onyekuru becomes eligible for a permit after the wc. With Lookman, Vlasic (best cutting in off the left to me, not playing through the middle like some suggest) and Walcott. Please please move Bolasie on.

At the most one forward. I think Cenk can lead the line and I believe in DCL's ability/ potential. If someone gives us 15-20m or up for Niasse I'd take it. Sorry Oumar, I love your attitude just not your touch.

So between 4-7.

If you think that's creating too many strangers then would you care to share your vision?
