If he goes, he deserves the 6mill coming his way if i am honest.

Yet i believe big questions need to be asked about those who led us to that position. Next season if Sam is gone, we will pay him 6 mill. Koeman 5 mill. Probably closer to 15 million out of the club, when you take coaches into account.

Before you start to look at what we will pay anyone else who comes in.

Gross mismanagement.
Too right he does, he's played a blinder.

Hopefully we have that out of our system i think that was paid out on the accounts as an exceptional expense i think the final figure was 13 million including his coaches.

The figures are eye watering and just takes away from investment on the pitch.

After that Saints away game I thought we were going down so was happy for Sam to come in on the basis that it was only to the end of the season to maintain our top flight status.

He got off to a successful start and we were actually looking pretty secure by the turn of the year. The last few months have therefore been an opportunity for him to show that he is capable of employing a progressive style of football but it has not happened. The performances have been turgid. Some of the statistics have been embarrassing.

It has not helped that our neighbours are playing (alongside City) the most entertaining football in the league and smashing in goals left right and centre. At a time when we are looking to build a bigger stadium that needs to be filled we are in danger of losing the next generation of supporters if we don’t take action and get the feel good factor back ASAP

Having to pay managers off, is the norm mate for every club mate.

It`s just the way it is.

It just depends on whether you can afford to do it on a regular basis, like Chelsea ;)

Close to 50 million in managers in three years isnt good mate, its naive to think it doesn't have a material impact, in my opinion. Its far from the most optimal way to run a business.

Comparing us to Chelsea is madness when you consider the budgets involved,, they are far superior when it comes to revenue and access to funds, the model can work for them as a result but for us it eats massively into our bottom line.

While you're right, don't forget that we were apparently willing to pay Watford up to £15M to get Silva back in November. Should we want him no, we can get him for nothing (apart from his astronomical wages, natch).

Good point mate, i still think its not optimal in terms of the impact of compensation on the club from a business perspective.
