He only has to keep doing what he is doing and get us climbing the table. If we have such a big squad. Then it should be all hands to the pumps for a good cup run and into the 4th. round.

I see a lot of people saying we have been lucky. I would say you make your own luck and he seems to have installed a bit of self belief in the squad which leads to heads not dropping, fighting for everything and getting a bit of luck from it. A lot of the game is mental.

not really, what would have happened if they never tired?

relying on bottom of the league to tire to beat them isn't smart management in my opinion, smart management was bringing on davies for morgan which flipped the game in our favour
 

Some strange comments in here, it’s almost as if people want us as a club to fail (and be relegated) so they can say ‘told you so’.

I admit Allardyce was not my first choice (not even top 10 to begin with) but some of you just need to accept that he’s here now and so far, we’ll he’s done alright hasn’t he?

My only comment about last night was how we started quite defensively, at some point I do want us to take the hand brake off and go at teams, but honestly if it means we’re winning games then crack on as you were Sam!

I’d rather we were playing the right way in League 2 than win the Champions League with this hoof rubbish!!!!

There's nothing 'ridiculously dismissive' about saying getting a point away at a side that has failed to win more than half it's home games isn't necessarily an incredible achievement. I think Allardyce has done everything that could reasonably have been asked of him so far, and he deserves credit for that. I also think that the credit should be proportionate, and it is wise to wait and see how we fare over a longer period before we start proclaiming him as the answer to our prayers like some are.

They are 4th in the table, scored about 40 goals and spanked the "top ranked" team in their Champions League group 7-0. In fact, they've won two group games 7-0 in the same season, which I'm certain has never been done before. I think it's safe to conclude that they're a very dangerous side and a point away from home against them with our haphazard squad is a pretty fantastic result.
