We approached that game like it was the end of April and we were fighting for our lives

Yeah because we are still utter garbage. The players are still the same. The manager cant not change that. What he can change is make us harder to beat which he has done.

Make no mistake, our team today is woeful. And yet we got a point. Its not great, its not awful either. Judge him when he has made his own changes on the squad, again though quite why we are judging a bloke who has yet to lose a game I do not know....

he moans about our quality on the ball, we maybe take some of the groks off and try playing some exciting footballers.

He's definitely hamstrung by the lack of quality in the squad but what can he expect when he plays a flat back five with just three players with any attacking instinct against West Brom?

Absolute mehhhh.....these are professional footballers, some who are supposed to be better than average..I would say to them, grow a pair and start performing

I think it is perfectly fair that a side that has had £200m+ spent on it in the last 18 months can only manage 1 shot on target vs a side that hasn't won in 18 games.

But oh, look at the players he has available to him, so terrible.

They are rubbish though. State of them.

If we had won today as we should darn well have done, two points up on Leicester and closing on Burnley.
"if", "but", "should", "could", etc etc
There are no guarantees in this league. Hypotheticals are nothing but fantasies.
Take each game as it comes. West Brom are desperate, were at home and we got a point out of them. It's really not a bad result. Especially given our circumstances earlier in the season. Even if the performance left something to be desired.

The proof is there in front of you though. They are bog average and with zero balance.

Believe it or not West Brom are professional footballers too.

Saying that though orly, look at the high quality of the players in that West Brom team, a class above our £45m signing, so you can understand why we parked the bus.

:bye:

I 100% remember a thread poll after Southampton where I said we would not get relegated. I'd pick Kim Jong Un over relegation so I'm not sure why that's particularly important. The "doomed" shouts were and are insane. Swansea aren't even doomed as of now and their situation is ten times worse than us 6 weeks ago.

Sam's not a man for all seasons. He's short term. He does his stuff and leaves.

I dont think that will deviate here.
I do not necessarily disagree with that assessment mate. I am just saying that, whilst he continues to keep us out of relegation mires (now and in the future), we are in no position to be the ones pushing him out. I do not like 'the plucky Everton' epithet we've acquired over the past decade and a bit, but it is what it is; we are no longer a drawcard club for top, top talent. So it's best to go with what we've got as long as it's working (ie keeping us in the PL)

Koeman put us back years. No striker, no left back, unbalanced & no confidence, heading for relegation. All we could have asked from any manager was stop the rot. Scrape as many points as possible until January, then bring in the players we need.

Two goals conceded since he took over. TWO. That’s two less than we conceded in the game before he came. Against Southampton! We’re unbeaten.

GET A GRIP!

Sorry not having that....as i say some of our players need to take some responsibility and actually show some bottle or belief and perform to an acceptable level...or any set of level above just above average. As supporters that's the least we deserve
