He's a rubbish manager though mate. I know you backed his arrival here, but you surely see the standard of football he's capable of and must think again?

I think he deserves to be here beyond the summer mate, he knows what hes at, id agree he has questions to answer in terms of developing this team into a PL team, but i think he deserves a chance to that certainly more and beyond the second day of the transfer window. One of the things i like about him is that what ever quality we have and that is limited he seems to be getting the best of certain players who were abysmal before he took over.

We're in such a state now as a club that if he gets us a derby win either on Friday or at GP later in the season he'd probably get backing to stay on.

We're in a sorry state. We need a competent club CEO to force a coherent strategy on how we want to play and what our objectives are and that would inform our managerial issue. It's just a dogs breakfast, though, of a multitude of incompetent decision makers.

We are utterly knackered as a functioning organisation.

Wouldn't disagree with any of that mind.

anyone seen that stat about the shots per game?

basically it has the lowest ranked team in each of the European big leagues for average shots per game

basically the teams all have between 9 & 10 shots per game

Swansea have the lowest in the prem @ 8.6

everton under sam 7.3shots

that is totally and utterly embarrassing on so many levels

Yes it is. And shows how poor our team is compared to where it needs to be. A large proportion of the blame lies with Ronald Koeman for that and not Sam Allardyce who has inherited this unbalanced squad with a poor defence and little threat in attack.

Some will try and make out that the above stats are down solely to Allardyce's negative brand of football. The reality is different and it's clearly the case that our team simply isn't good enough at creating meaningful chances :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41350009

In the opening 5 fixtures this season we managed 10 shots on target. From Allardyce's opening 5 fixtures we managed 17. We had 4 very tough fixtures in the opening 5 games and managed only 2 shots on target against 10 men Man City, 0 shots on target at Chelsea, and only 1 against Spurs at home. Similarly, Allardyce's Everton managed 2 on target against Liverpool at Anfield and 0 at home to Chelsea which points to a real problem in attacking threat when we come up against any of the top 6.

Genuine question; who is he getting the best out of?

That’s the worry. Look at our last search for a manager, completely schizophrenic: Dyche, Silva, Fonseca, Allardyce. Then we’d picked a DOF who had no experience in the role and Koeman who’s track record was very patchy. If we get a good manager it’ll be through luck more than anything. The club, as you said, needs an overhaul from the top down.

Sorry mate don’t agree here. His football is utterely atrocious he will keep us up and that’s it. If you want him here longer he will just achieve keeping us up. Everton fans are probably more patient than Newcastle. and I’m not sure about West Ham he was there longer.but they both got rid for the same reasons mate if you want to just stay up then Yearh, keep him longer. But if you want something else long term it’s inabit Sam He’s a safety manager glass ceiling if you want and that’s it.

I believe that's the level of football from a squad of inconsistent, average, and mentally weak players.

I stick by the fact that whoever is in charge next season, you're still looking at another rebuild job in 2018/19. Hopefully progress in 2019/20.

So sit patiently

I dont disagree mate we are painful to watch. But is that a problem of his making? We are in points hoovering mode, with woefully unbalanced limited team. I agree there is a question in can he devlop it into a creative force? Thats is unknown. Does he deserve a chance? I think he does.

If he's still here next summer then it shows that this club is being ran as a boys club and it's an admission that we no longer aim to compete.

He beat Huddersfield and Swansea at home so deserves a long term tenure? Good grief.

I agree that the players he has aren’t exactly great but mate come on 4 shots in how many games? That’s not down to just the players it’s his tactics. He cannot and will not transform us to anything other than stable. I want More than that and Everton football club and our long suffering fans deserve more than that also.

Rooney
Williams
Keane
Lennon
Jags
Scnedierlin
McCarthy

In my opinion, all have contributed more under Sam then under Koeman or Unsworth IMO.

It's all about opinions, otherwise things would be boring :)

I think the defenders are perceived to be performing better but my take on that is they are simply protected by the line of deep lying midfielders. Williams is still prone to errors, I've seen nothing at all from Keane or Jags. They're not asked to do anything other than clear danger so they have a pretty easy brief at the minute.

Schneiderlin looks exactly the same to me, ditto Rooney.

Lennon I'd agree with, he looks to be benefitting from a clearer role. I think DCL is also improving and least he's getting lots of practice at holding the ball up.

I just don't think he's a coach of individual talents personally.

I wouldn't disagree with the first statement anyhow, regardless of who the manager is.

I think its utter madness, not to give him the chance and tools to the job, utter madness. Honest question mate, why have you been so quick to come to a judgement given the basket case he took over to type cast exactly what he is and make a copper fastened judgement.

To be honest its been refreshing listening to his assessment of the squad, he is bang on the money and i llike how he isnt tickling the tummys of the players or fans.
