I agree we need a striker and the defence needed sorting etc, but we have gotten worse going forward, no one is expecting to go toe to toe with united Chelsea Liverpool etc in recent games but the games against wba and Bournemouth was disgusting, going to teams like that for a draw is everything what is wrong with fat sam, he makes koemans tactics look like guardiola he's that negative

What has surprised me is that he seems to have made a bit of a mis-judgement over Christmas, for all I don't like the fella I thought he was smarter than that.

I was fully expecting the cup game to be sacrificed but the half hearted approach to yesterdays game seemed like he'd written that one off. If (and I'm presuming obviously) that was the case it makes the set-up in those two away games bonkers. Play the strongest side in those in pursuit of 6 points then take on the Mancs with whatever you have standing. I'm sure either directly or indirectly he'll have been told that approach wasn't right for Everton.

The other mistake for me over this period was the use of the squad. I don't think Klaassen, Lookman, Mirallas or Beni played a minute between them and whatever you think of them they should have been used more. I just wonder if he's feeling a bit of unexpected pressure?

I deal in evidence.

Bolton, Blackburn, Newcastle, West Ham all left as basket cases by him and relegated within months of him being sacked. I'll omit Sunderland. They were an actual basket case.

He's not qualified for Europe in pushing 20 years.

No top half finishes in the last decade.

Woeful record in the transfer market with attacking players.

We need a full squad rebuild, but he only deals in short term fixes. And at extortionate prices.

He plays football in a manner which does not allow for a very high ceiling.

He is not tactically astute. He plays lowest common denominator football. Park a back 5 in our own box with a midfield 5 right in front and hoof to a lone striker. It's not because of our poor technical players, he has always played like this, and believes in this flawed system.

Finally, his rhetoric is 99% of the time for self promotion. It's almost like he hopes things get so bad at a club where fans are conned into thinking even the most minutest improvement is success.

So as soon left clubs regressed significantly the conclusion could be drawn, that regressed because they lost a good manager. West Ham actually had a better year after Sam left.

Hes been managing historically championship clubs though mate and successfully getting one into Europe from the lower divisions.

West Ham finished in the top 10 under Sam, Newcastle did to if memory serves me correctly.

Im not sure he has to be honest, Anelka, Ockocha, Klasnic, Sakho, Viduka etc.

Like i say he has never been in this position before in terms of recruitment, he has never had a job of this context.

I have no idea what you mean by a high ceiling?

He has a lifetime of working with clubs with limits and providing success in the context of those clubs, if he manages that here we have an excellent manager.

I would say he is tactically astute, granted our football has been dour but in all honesty we have a very poor limited squad.

Like i say i think he has questions to answer and the jury is out. but does he deserve the opportunity, for me he does. I will reserve judgement and will be dissapointed with the club if he is gone in the summer.

I think its laughable that people think our manager is the problem.

Its like the first four months or the summer just didnt happen.

They did happen and the board panicked or why else would he be here? It’s not because he plays good football is it? There’s only one reason why he’s here and when he’s achieved it then it should be golden handshake time

Everton largely havent played winning, creative expansive football for 30 years.

Im not sure its impossible for Sam not to achieve that, i believe there is a question certainly, but believe he deserves the opportunity.

He is as responsible for the decline of those clubs as Koeman is for our poor squad.

I will be extremely disappointed if we allow him a long term reign. Fans shouldn't accept it.

Well when other than Bolton which was when the league wasn’t as hard as it is now his career tells you the answer to that and why he must go.

If you deal in evidence, then at least get some facts.

He took over Bolton in the Championship, and left them when they were 5th in the Prem. (With just two games remaining). Hardly leaving it a ‘basket case’

West Ham certainly weren’t relegated after he left. He also finished top half with West Ham just 5 years ago. He left them mid table.

He left Blackburn mid table before the disasterous Venky’s regime appointed Steve Keane as manager.

Sunderland he managed to keep up against the odds.

People may not like his style of play, but he has by no means failed at the clubs he has been at.

Yes, Steve McLaren and Gareth Southgate would justify this

And here we go again, oh Pep was engaged so the next best option is Sam Allardyce hahaha.... yes that’s exactly how it went

Haha fair point, i actually think England will come back for him.

Would you have preferred Marco Silva out of the available candidates mate?
