I wouldn't disagree with the first statement anyhow, regardless of who the manager is.

I think its utter madness, not to give him the chance and tools to the job, utter madness. Honest question mate, why have you been so quick to come to a judgement given the basket case he took over to type cast exactly what he is and make a copper fastened judgement.

To be honest its been refreshing listening to his assessment of the squad, he is bang on the money and i llike how he isnt tickling the tummys of the players or fans.

Mate it’s more as we know all he can and does.if you think he’s transformed into some great manager all of a sudden I think I need to be sectioned and if he’s here longer than summer I think I will commit myself for just that.

It's all about opinions, otherwise things would be boring :)

I think the defenders are perceived to be performing better but my take on that is they are simply protected by the line of deep lying midfielders. Williams is still prone to errors, I've seen nothing at all from Keane or Jags. They're not asked to do anything other than clear danger so they have a pretty easy brief at the minute.

Schneiderlin looks exactly the same to me, ditto Rooney.

Lennon I'd agree with, he looks to be benefitting from a clearer role. I think DCL is also improving and least he's getting lots of practice at holding the ball up.

I just don't think he's a coach of individual talents personally.

I would agree systemically we are doing better, like i ascertained before he take over our midfield was part of the problem of our conceded goals, the whole team defended powder puffy.

Like you say its opinions mate, but the lads mentioned i think have upped their performances under Sam. Other players are horribly limited for one reason or another.

I dont disagree mate we are painful to watch. But is that a problem of his making? We are in points hoovering mode, with woefully unbalanced limited team. I agree there is a question in can he devlop it into a creative force? Thats is unknown. Does he deserve a chance? I think he does.
What’s the point? He’s never done anything of note in his managerial career, has a 34% Win rate and no trophies. So again what is the point in giving him another season?

I think he deserves to be here beyond the summer mate, he knows what hes at, id agree he has questions to answer in terms of developing this team into a PL team, but i think he deserves a chance to that certainly more and beyond the second day of the transfer window. One of the things i like about him is that what ever quality we have and that is limited he seems to be getting the best of certain players who were abysmal before he took over.

An acceptance of Sam Allardyce building a side is an acceptance of abject failure. He’s a god awful manager and should be sacked as soon as the final game of the season is over, along with that fat bell of a DoF

We should not be sanctioning any of his targets and should have a top end coach lined up and preparing his preseason now, identifying targets and preparing

anyone seen that stat about the shots per game?

basically it has the lowest ranked team in each of the European big leagues for average shots per game

basically the teams all have between 9 & 10 shots per game

Swansea have the lowest in the prem @ 8.6

everton under sam 7.3shots

that is totally and utterly embarrassing on so many levels

He's been here just over a month and has been very explicit that until he gets a striker he will be focusing on the defence. We all want to get instant results (in performance terms) but that simply does not happen in football. It takes months and years. Why should we expect Allardyce to fix both the defensive and attacking parts of the team after just 8 matches and without any new arrivals?

I didn't support him coming in, but his approach so far has been absolutely the right thing to do. And it's taken the other part of the game that nobody focuses on -- goals conceded per game -- down from literally the worst in the league to one of the best. Again, absolutely the right thing to do given the squad he has.

The true test for him is progress on the attacking front in the second half of the season. Not shots per game in the first week in Jan!

I think your making a judgement on a historical context of the type of club he has managed in the past.

You could be right and their could be glass ceiling there. I think he has questions to answer to progress the club.

My posisition is does he deserve a chance in the context he has never had a club of this stature or resources before, hes proven he can make a silk purse out of a sows ear, can he break through the glass ceiling with the tools? i think he could. I would be disgusted if we cut him a drift in the summer.

I deal in evidence.

Bolton, Blackburn, Newcastle, West Ham all left as basket cases by him and relegated within months of him being sacked. I'll omit Sunderland. They were an actual basket case.

He's not qualified for Europe in pushing 20 years.

No top half finishes in the last decade.

Woeful record in the transfer market with attacking players.

We need a full squad rebuild, but he only deals in short term fixes. And at extortionate prices.

He plays football in a manner which does not allow for a very high ceiling.

He is not tactically astute. He plays lowest common denominator football. Park a back 5 in our own box with a midfield 5 right in front and hoof to a lone striker. It's not because of our poor technical players, he has always played like this, and believes in this flawed system.

Finally, his rhetoric is 99% of the time for self promotion. It's almost like he hopes things get so bad at a club where fans are conned into thinking even the most minutest improvement is success.

Thats just opinion mate, what do you have to back it up as opposed to not liking him and making a black and white judgement?

I agree we need a striker and the defence needed sorting etc, but we have gotten worse going forward, no one is expecting to go toe to toe with united Chelsea Liverpool etc in recent games but the games against wba and Bournemouth was disgusting, going to teams like that for a draw is everything what is wrong with fat sam, he makes koemans tactics look like guardiola he's that negative

I reckon he's already looked aged. He's waaaay out of his league.

But it's not his fault. It's the Board's.

This club is administered by a very scheming coterie of vagabonds.

The longer he’s our manager mate the further behind we will fall. He HAS to go summer if we’re to try and even sustain some long term strategy other than just “ staying up “
