We need to improve to be competitive, they're a better side at the moment. Hopefully with a striker and a new left back etc we can compete but we need to be realistic.

We don't compete because we are set up not to. The day we think that is acceptable is the day we accept life as west brom.... We can sign an entirely new squad and it won't make a blind bit of difference.

We've sold our best players and signed very poor players which is nothing to do with Allardyce.

Other than Pickford every expensive signing we've signed over the past 2 years has been a flop. You can't blame someone who wasn't here when they were signed.

Sense this mate mate, he is doing well with a squad put together by Koeman when Koeman couldnt get anything out of it, under previous 2 managers that game tonight and the last visit there would of been horrific

I'm not blaming Allardyce mate, he's merely symptomatic of everything that's wrong with this club at the moment.

The club is rotten from the top down and has been for a couple of decades.

Completely agree, thought you were blaming him for tonight. We had a good go tonight though and there were positive signs.

Step by step he is improving us. And that must be the first time we haven't shat ourselves at Anfield in a while. If this trajectory carries on we have to give him a full season.

I can see progress. We aren't ever going to be 1970 Brazil but we do look more cohesive and confident in attack. Even the United game the first half was ok. That said he needs to start playing Bolasie and Lookman or Vlasic and not fall into the one winger trap of our previous two managers. Hopefully a real left back will be signed to allow it

The lack of ambition and acceptance of mediocrity (at best) of some people on here is staggering

It’s driven into the brain. It’s now acceptable to give the RS a game apparently, along with going to West Brom and Bournemouth (FFS) and playing 9 behind the ball and wanting a draw

WTF have we become

Try reading the words on the screen mate. They have said there are signs of progress. Not that this is the level to aspire to.

Here's a fact mate - he's improved our position since he's been here and done a cracking job with the absolute shambles that was our defense at one point.

People are simply recognising this, pretty sure no one here actually believes he'll get us kicking on to the top.

If he sets us like we played tonight especially after Lookman came on we’ll be fine. Gutted at the result tonight but not the performance.
