He was brought in for his experience and to stabilise the team. The very words out of Moshiri's mouth.

It's not like he's on a 3+ year deal either...

He also wasn’t even first choice. We couldn’t bring in who we wanted regardless of offering silly money supposedly and had to go back to him. Things weren’t exactly turning around under Rhino.

Because there is nothing in-between winning the treble and playing for draws against the worst teams in the league?

We didn't play for draws we wanted to win but we didn't play well and never had a connection between defence and midfield nor midfield and attack. Could be the players are not good enough, not on form, or getting used to BFS system. We are now trying to play expansive football but haven't got the strikers for it and as you can see we are starting to lose again. He can have no excuses after January but FFS give him the chance he surely has earned already.

4 goals conceded
1 scored
1 shot on target

Not sure we've got the balance quite right.

He is looking for it but without a decent striker it will be difficult. When he gets in his own players rather than inherited players then I feel we can go to town on him because his predecessors couldn't do anything accept pick the ball out of the net too many times. Let him have his January then see where we are then.

He came in when we were looking like we were in a lot of trouble. Yeah okay we have loads the last couple of games but like it’s been said already we aren’t going to turn into Man City. He has done okay and now that he is getting players in judge him at the end of the season when they have either worked or it’s the same old rubbish now. Think we played okay tonight apart from 2 mistakes which cost us. We deffo have something to work with. I just hope he keeps playing with pace ie lookman and Bolasie or even vlasic and with a striker like tosun hopefully things fall into place

I wonder who had Moshiris ear, could it be Sams best mate by any chance.

No other team in the top half would make that appointment, fact

I do recall we where near the bottom of the league and didn't look like we could improve. We where in the sh1t so had to get someone to stop the slide. We did with someone who was offered a short term contract to do exactly what he is doing. Now we are expecting Barcelona football with the very same team when the previous managers failed.

Nobody above us would hire sam allardyce with 24 games left of a season, they have standards and that is why the likes of spurs/Leicester have now overtaken us. We will never escape our current slump with the current attitude that runs through the club and fanbase.

Yeah, its not like less then a year after Leicester won the leauge they got rid of their manager and replaced him with their 3RD CHOICE COACH. Or like spurs got the Portsmouth manager in or a newly promoted Southampton manager in. Or liverpool got the fullham manager in. Or arsenal got some random french guy in who was manager of some random Japanese team, what was his name? You know the guy who managed the invincibles? Oh, wait that's it arsene wenger.

Yeah those teams just pick from the cream of the crop dont they?

Thing that makes me laugh is people like you were probably crying out for silva from watford.
He got hull relagated and is doing okay with watford wooooo!!! Lets show some ambition! Ffs

If you include Unsworth's game against Norwich in the numbers, Allardyce currently has the worst win percentage (30%) of any Everton manager since Walter Smith. It is actually worse than Smith, too.

Sure we spent a lot of money in the summer. But the vast majority of that was recouped when we sold Lukaku, and we didn't spend the money wisely.Having the money is one thing.Spending it wisely and correctly is another thing entirely. From what we have seen so far, Moshiri just makes things up, and makes knee jerk decisions as he goes along.

Agreed.

There is no plan at the top.

And most of what we spent in the summer came from the Lukaku deal.

If Moshiri doesn't come up with something big soon (progress on the stadium or a big signing) then he will soon be under pressure

Just a reminder that if we sack him in the summer, we will pay more off of the remaining part of the contract then he will have worked for Everton.

Currently running at a 30% win rate.

Not a chance we will sack him and nor should we, has came in to keep us up, and will more then likely do that, he has next season and a summer transfer window without question

That might be the case but he came in when koeman and unsworth left up sh1t creek without a paddle. He has got us up the league and is now bringing in the players he wants. I’m not saying he is the long term need because even I’m not stupid enough to think that but surely he has done okay enough to get his own players in and see how he does till the end of the season?

It's not that he should be sacked, it's that he must be sacked at the end of the season.

The lack of ambition and acceptance of mediocrity (at best) of some people on here is staggering

I don’t see people here accepting mediocrity. It’s just being realistic about the level we’ve fallen too and the appreciation that it’ll never change over-night (over-night currently lasting approx 30 yrs).

Better to be realistic about where we are and what we need to do to get back to the top. (Starts at board level, not the current manager)

Some comments just make it sound like we have an “entitlement” because we were once great.
