I want to know what the strategy is behind the football side of the club.

Who is making the signings? What is the targets over the next five years?

I worry that we are just letting management regimes dictate styles/policies/attitudes when it should be coming from the DoF and managers/players should be able to be replaced easily with the strategy remaining the same.

Its defo not Walsh, the scattergun approach to finding a manager showed we have no foresight on what the club should identify as - the managers we approached had vastly differing styles of play.

Or it is Walsh, which just highlights how wrongly titled he is at the club.

Sack him now. He's done his job - we're safe from relegation.

We are out of the cups so other than the 8th place trophy we've nothing to play for this year.

Just get rid of this fat clown and get someone in that will actually try and play decent football. They'd have the rest of the season to bed in and look at the squad and transfer targets in the summer.

To me it's a no-brainer. I really have no desire to aspire to 8th place on the back of turgid football.

I'd much rather at least try and play a sexy attacking style and end up around the same.
We have just given a manager nearly 30m to spend with the probability of more to come.

Does anybody seriously think Sam Allyrdyce will not be here next season after the management backing his judgement to that level.

We'll easily break even in January. Probably we'll recover a lot of the cash Koeman wasted. Most of it - but not all - will be handed to Allardyce.

Allardyce will be gone in May. He's clueless.

This is what I am afraid of, whilst he has made the defence better than what it was, as mentioned a million times by others, he has NO EVIDENCE OF TAKING A TEAM FURTHER.

So for that reason come 1st May get shut and get a manager who knows how to compete, otherwise it will be another 20 odd years before we can beat that lot over the road.

A 7th place will earn him one more season.
That is my theori.

We simply don't have the material, to reach higher, even with Joachim Low. I think

That's just not true though mate. Nowhere near.

We are/were an established top tier team. That's a decent base.

Backed by a supposedly ambitious billionaire.

By all accounts we've got a great crop of youngsters coming through.

The club also had genuine world class talents in Stones and Lukaku to either make use of/convince to stay or sell for an instant pay day.

Moshri has failed us massively so far.

Recruiting Allardyce is just the icing on the cake.

A big fat cake!

Dave. I remember you predicting the club was about to appoint Davie Weir as manager before RM got the job.
You were wrong then and you are wrong now. Allyrdyce will certainly see out his eighteen month contract and his progress will determine if there will be a further extension.

I think his job is twofold. The first is to clear out and balance the squad. He has already started that process with Mirallas leaving and I think we will se quite a few more in this window and the next. I think Niasse, Besic and possibly Schneiderlin may also leave. There may be others as well.

The second part of his job is to start getting results and winning points . I think we will finish seventh or eight this season and I believe that he will be manager here next seson.

Gonely summerly
Usmanov I mean Moshiri won’t tolerate the dross that is being served up.
Joachim Low after the World Cup would be my hope
Club management is totally different to international management. Appointing Loew would be a huge risk.

If you want a long odds bet that might be worth making.

Season 2018/2019 to be Mourinho's last season at Utd, things have started getting sour there already.
Mourinho to Everton at the end of that season as the Allyrdyce contract runs out.

Unless Usmanov comes in and makes vast amounts of cash available then I can’t see Mourinho coming here.
He will want / need large sums of money to compete

I've actually gone well off Mourinho in the last few weeks. The spoilt child act is great when his teams are winning and playing decent football as it winds other clubs up, but even the United fans are starting to get tired of him and it's easy to see why.

Well i don't agree. Even if you are being sarcastic i don't agree.

Pretty much gained the Tosun fee back, with Ross, Walsh and Kev going.

How?

Tosun - £27 million

Barkley - £15 million

Kev will be sold for a pittance in the summer and Walsh only went for a few quid didnt he?

If we bring in another 2-3 signings each costing say £15 million + we'll nowhere near break even - thats including if Niasse and Sandro both go.
