Because Unsworth played it against West Ham mate, he was effectively left with not much option after the best result of the season in that game but to keep with it, soon as results tailed off slightly, instantly went to what he wanted to play, trust me if we lost to west ham we'd never have seen Allardyce play it once.

well we'll see if he goes back to it

The line-ups in the last few games haven't been 'defensive' as such, though

they've just been set-up in a stale way that hasn't worked under four managers

Can see why he did it from the start, as he wanted some height in there against a big WBA side.

But MS should have been turfed off after half-an-hour. He was dire and ultimately played a big part in McCarthy getting injured as well.

from a physical stand point (as in size because the reality is he is a massive tart), I agree... in every other footballing stand point I couldn't disagree more with Sam putting MS in.

He is absolutely woeful and I don't know what happened to him in the summer, but he should be nowhere near our team - I never thought I would call a player a coward, but that on Saturday was disgraceful (not the first time his performance has been that bad).

Is it just not easier to say that it's Allardyce, Walsh, Bill, Moshiri, the coaching staff (yes, Dunc as well), the kit man and the tea lady and the players all to blame. They all take equal share of the blame.

Oh, and suntan Bob.

And Koeman, Unsworth and Martinez.

And Graeme bloody Jones.

Because sticking with Koeman guaranteed relegation, whilst sacking him gave us a chance of rescuing things

Koeman had irretrievably lost the dressing room mate. At that point, you simply have to try someone else. Sadly Unsworth didn't kick us on at which point the "Big Sam Panic Button" (Break glass in case of impending relegation) was pressed by Moshiri

I'm not justifying it, but that's the turn of events

It's Moshiri's fault for getting googly eyes over Silva and chasing after him for weeks on end whilst Unsworth toiled. In the end, Allardyce was the most viable choice, so he was brought in short term to keep us up

Should he do that then it's job done and he'll be gone, mark my words

Allardyce was never the most viable choice mate, unless you bought into the rhetoric that only he could save us etc, will say at least moshiri tried to get a young progressive manager in, who did walsh and kenwright want from the very start? Unsworth or Allardcyce?

Thing that scares me is he was allowed to bring in so many of his own team in. Can also see the little cretin Walsh in moshiris ear convincing him to keep them all on

Thats why i'd have faith restored in Moshiri if he woke up tomorrow, sacked Allardyce got Silva in, and turned to Walsh and told him to clear out with the rest of the bung crew

The question is why were the players able to keep clean sheets and score goals in his first 8 games but have regressed to the depths of Koeman/Unsworth since? They’ve been dominated by nearly every side in the league. We sold Gareth Barry because we felt he wasn’t good enough anymore and he dominated our midfield last weekend. It is purely the application of the players. They can all do it when they want to but this season they’ve just not been bothered. It’s s collective malaise over the whole squad and I doubt any of them are remotely bothered by it.

Allardyce has coaxed ok football from far worse teams than this yet this group of players Just will not respond. They wouldn’t respond to Koeman, not to Unsworth, and now no longer to Allardyce. Quite simply they are unwilling to perform for anyone. The only options are to buy in s player who will set the work rate standard for everyone else to follow, or just completely sweep the lot out.

Bill wanted Unsworth, Walsh from the get go wanted Allardyce mate

And I can understand why Kenwright wanted Unsworth. I wanted Unsworth. It was the romantic option of the youth coach stepping up and laying his claim to the job

Sadly it didn't work and with relegation looming, along with Watford standing strong on Silva, times got desperate and Moshiri went for Allardyce as a short term fix to keep us up

He won't be

I'm 100% convinced of it

If he is then things will get very nasty very quickly

A dam can only hold back so much water

Even an idiot like Moshiri knows that
I’m not so sure, Moshiri seemed to have pushed very hard to get him and looked far too happy when we got him. I hope I’m wrong though.
