I have noticed the mantra that a new manager needs at least three transfer windows does not apply to Sam, Sam has to get the best out of his team by coaching(and rightly so) but anyone else would need £150mil again.

Turning into a bit of a conundrum because as much as everyone is loving pointing the finger at the manager, the players have been having these 'dips' in form for 3 seasons now, this whole finishing 7th papers over as many cracks as anything else.

We simply have not improved one iota since Martinez first season. The apple needs coring in my opinion, we are rotting from the inside out.

Indeed, using Moyes as the yardstick shows how low our ambition is.
and yet the Fact he's been successful wherever else he's been leads me to the unfortunate conclusion that Everton couldn't beat a one legged man in an bottom kicking contest no matter how 'World Class' a manager we have.

As much as Sam is annoying me with his defensive negative play. I'm seeing bigger issues with the players.

Some of them were here for Martinez, the squad downed tools on him. Koeman lost them, Unsworth never had them, now it feels like Sam has already lost them.

My point being, this group of players are a disgrace to the shirt. Too much is being written about Sam and not the players. Yes his tactics are horrific, but i'm pretty sure they don't include "refuse to sprint back into position, jog instead" "fail to pass a ball 5 yards" "refuse to move into space or help a teammate" "mark up when it' our throw in!"

Possibly the biggest amount of BS I've heard come out of his mouth so far:

“I say to players not in the team or squad, 'If you let yourself go, you do yourself the biggest disservice you possibly could, because when needed you will not be able to perform’,” he said.

“When you cannot perform, you get one chance – if you blow that chance you do not get another, not at this level now.

Errrrrrrm. So why has Schneiderlin been in every single squad since you arrived? Martina is performing is he even though we have a natural left back in Garbutt available who is impressing in the u23s?

Garbutt has not been available until now so you can't hold that against him. Schneiderlin I think it's a case that managers are waiting for him to sort himself out but do we really have an alternative to him? If we do, I don't see it as Davies is having a tough year, Beni is not that player...so who else?
