Still avoiding and trying to deflect from admitting Celtic FC (aka Seperate entity fc) and Celtic Boys Club(the clue is in the name) were one and the same thing?
It's also ironic that 'The Celtic View' printed many articles and pictures showing that for many years Celtic Boys Club and their later convicted paedophile coaches were very much part of the Celtic family!
As for Neely, I don't doubt his victims claims at all but your claim and lame attempt to suggest that somehow Rangers had a similar blind eye approach to child abuse that Celtic obviously did is pretty desperate,As far as I'm aware there was one incident that was reported to Rangers by the boys father and Rangers sacked him as soon as they were made aware of any wrongdoing and reported him to the authorities what else were they meant to do? (sweep it under the carpet?)
Celtic have 5 convicted paedophiles now that worked under their watch for their boys club and you (just like your club) are denying that they have a duty to admit negligence in their duty of care within their boys club and compensate any victims involved.
An "Ibrox spokesman" (nobody was stupid enough to put their name to such a transparent cover up) claimed Rangers sacked Neely, and contacted the police.
Mark Daly discovered that Rangers put out a statement in the club newspaper The Rangers News saying that Neely had resigned for business reasons, and wished him well for the future. Now I'm no legal expert I must admit, but doesn't it seem a tad strange that a club claiming to have sacked a man, and reported him to the police, for the alleged abuse of teenage boys would then say he had resigned for business reasons, and wish him every success in the future? It seems absolutely bizarre to me.
Not only did Rangers cover up for Neely in the 90's TRIFC are still covering it up to this day with blatant lies about contacting the authorities. Though it was wrong, I'm not criticising Rangers for their actions in the 90's. The fact that hundreds of clubs are being investigated in the abuse in football police investigation would indicate that getting rid of alleged perverts, and keeping it quiet, seems to be the way clubs rolled back in the day.
The problem for Rangers is that their fans have had a 20 year campaign vilifying Jock stein, with tens of thousands of bigots singing "Big Jock knew" and "Who shagged all the boys?" etc and saying all he had to do was pick up the phone and report Torbett. Now it turns out Graeme, Walter, Sir David, and the unnamed coach who accused one of Neely's victims of lying about his friend have all been involved in the cover up for a predatory paedophile allowing Neely to open a guest house and coaching school in the East Coast of Scotland.
Using your own supporters criteria, Graeme, Walter, and Sir David etc all knew, and could have picked up the phone to report him, but decided to hush it up. TRIFC are in an impossible position. They are faced with the dilemma of either continuing with the cover up, or admit their legends from the past did the same thing that their bigoted hordes have been accusing the Celtic staff of doing. As we now know, they chose to continue with the cover up for Neely.
How can you not know this? Were you too busy salivating at the thought of perverts at Celtic Boys Club you completely took your eyes off the news about what went on at your former club? A more cynical guy than me could get the impression you know this only too well, but have decided to back the cover up by both your clubs.
Are you really so stupid as to believe calling a club Celtic Boys Club automatically means they're legally a part of Celtic? In the 60's if someone from Scotland asked Everton's permission to use their name, and received the odd gift of kit etc in return for Everton getting first dibs on players would that mean Everton would have to pay any debt run up by that boys club, or be responsible for the action of coaches it took no part in appointing, even though Everton had made sure it was a separate organisation legally?
As I said, covering up for a predatory paedophile isn't even remotely close to being the worst cover up at Ibrox.
