QP recently hired Leeann Dempster as Chief Exec. She did a cracking job at Hibs.

I predict a rise upwards for Queens Park which would be great for the history of the Scottish game.
Queens Park were Rangers original Glasgow rivals, until that Celtic crowd arrived on the scene. It would be great to see them back in the top flight again. They have more Scottish Cup wins than any of the Edinburgh clubs, and the crowd in sheep city. So yes they have a serious history.

I know as its the oldest club derby in the world although not played that much in recent decades. Theres the cover of one of the programmes agianst Rangers when they were in Div 3. One of the names QP were originally thinking of going to use when formed was Celtic funnily enough. They are actually one of the most important football clubs in history when it comes to football and what theyve done for it and given it.

Celtic may have been late in arriving on the scene Corky, but the club has managed to last the course. ;)

Unfortunately Brian that Derby will never be played again due to one of the teams no longer existing.

Well Celtic changed their corporate structures in 1994. The whole pacific shelf thing. So if we're going to take things that literally, then Rangers lasted longer.;) You left an open goal behind you there like.lol

lol

Corky, you can spin it all you like, but you know what actually happened. Celtic going from a privately owned company to a PLC is nothing like the club going out of business. Not one single person ever suggested Rangers were a different club when it went from being owned by various companies.

Don't you find it a tad strange that not one Rangers fans suggested Celtic were a new club when Fergus McCann floated the club on the stock exchange in 1994, but when Rangers went out of business in 2012 the newco supporters tried to claim Celtic were a newco as well, 17 years later! I mean there's being slow on the uptake and there's this.

Why do TRIFC fans keeps spinning this nonsense when they know it's nonsense? Who are they trying to fool? they know their club was formed in 2012 and had to apply to join the leagues? That there was a dodgy backroom deal to allow the newco to assume the identity doesn't mean Rangers liquidation didn't happen. It's just people in high places trying to pretend it didn't happen because of money.

Rangers went the way of Airdrieonians, its just that Airdrieonians weren't deemed important enough for people to spout the "You can't liquidate a football club, just the operating company" keech. You know this, I know this, and you know I know this, but you still say try and claim Celtic were reformed in 1994.

Hopefully he'll add to his mantlepiece..

Shay has said its all good fun nowadays with his wind ups v celtic.

But tbf a player of his standing getting in celtic fans heads..........

He's a bit of a nomark, but he does get publicity by winding up the Celtic support which is up to himself I suppose. It's a catch 22 situation in that no one bothers about him until he pops up slagging of Celtic, then when people reply to him he says he's in their heads when absolutely no one was thinking about him until he, for the umpteenth time, mentioned Celtic.

He shouldn't be slagging off fellow professionals though. I hope Broony doesn't take offence, or bear a grudge, and is still prepared to employ Logan to clear the Scheidt from his toilet if it ever becomes blocked. :)
