Finished apparently...all the clever people say so. :coffee:
I wouldn't go as far as calling them clever.

Séamus shoved it up their hoops today. They have gone into hiding again. That man bleeds for Everton. His teammates and manager love him..

May they disappear into the ocean.

I have never seen such emotion from an Everton player after scoring in over 50 years.

Tell that to some of the horrendous haters that post about him.

Exactly! He knows like we know that he can’t play constantly to a decent level, but he does the best he can.
I feel for him, because he’s smack in the middle of wanting to please the fans, but also having to look like he’s being loyal to an unwanted manger (RB).
Scoring that goal today looked like a massive release of built up emotion today.

In fairness, when the Straq scored his first goal at home against Chelsea, he looked like he was going to explode.

I`m not comparing the two btw ;)

To answer your question, mate, yes, it's 90% about hatred. It's almost universally accepted that he's far past his best and should have been replaced long since (I'm happy to be convinced otherwise by performances, though), but a huge proportion of the anti-Coleman posts don't say that. There's all sorts of personal vitriol and poisonous comments aimed at him, which are utterly unjustified given the fact he's always done, and continues to do, his best, even though that best has diminished substantially. There's something well beyond simple opinion and rational player critique at work here, in my view.
Well fair enough then.

I agree with you that personal stuff and insults are going too far. He doesn’t deserve that. No everton player does.

Especially Seamus. Seems a great lad. Loved how he was praising Iwobi at the end. Maybe trying ignite something in him.

Cheers mate

That is a very intelligent post.

I said that his age and injuries have caught up with him. Yet he continues to fight for the team unlike some.

The passion he showed today almost had me in tears.

Like Boxer in Animal Farm, eventually he will be finished. But, what he does not deserve is some of the hatred spouted on this site.

I cried at his passion today after the goal. If only we had 11 showing that level of commitment every game.

Yes, he makes mistakes. So do iI, constantly, ask my beloved wife reminds me.

He remains one of the best players in this overpriced squad.
Very good points. Hopefully in this new Lampard era we’ll all pull together a bit more.

I live abroad now so I only watch the games on my iPad, but the atmosphere seemed amazing. Seamus’ Performance was a big part of what the fans were reacting to.

It just goes to show what a bit of effort from the team and the backing from the fans can produce.
