I agree mate.

Taking that same point, I would ask you - is it to difficult to challenge another's members opinion on a footballer without attacking them as racist, xenophobic etc?

It's not healthy to assume people are racist, xenophobic etc because of their opinion on a football player and of course, we can't go having people on here make such damning attacks based on their 'assumptions' of others.

Now, if we could get back on topic please...
Ok.

Of all the players we have in this squad Coleman should get the most respect. Most of the rest of them are wage thieves who haven't got a pair of bollocks for a fight. Gordon looks a good sort, he has pride. But it'll be a matter of time before the cowards who infest Everton drag him down to their level.

Enjoy Coleman while you can, because he is one of the last of a dying breed in football...and more particularly at this club.

Well said Dave, but his time is up.

Seamus has been an unbelievably good player over the years and a great example of making the best of your ability.

Seamus' recent form has been extremely poor and he has made a lot of basic mistakes. He has not led by example as you would expect from an experienced captain.

Both of these can be true, and both are true in my opinion.

We've finally signed a right back so hopefully this means he no longer plays every week, and that's good news for him and will hopefully help prolong his career. He will have a much more successful and enjoyable final 18 months of his career here if he is not ran into the ground and fighting constant injuries as a result.

He’s been a really good servant to the club and, for the most part, a very good full back. There were a few years when he and Baines were one of the best full back pairings in the league. A positive attitude and an inability to accept defeat have really helped him throughout his career, unfortunately, they are the very traits which have prevented him from seeing what has become more and more apparent. It’s time to go.

Leighton Baines was a different personality and, when he could feel that he just wasn’t quite good enough any more, he hung up his boots. Hopefully, with the signing of young Patterson, we can now take Seamus out of the firing line. It would be nice if he goes at the end of the season, whilst we can still remember the good years.

Think most fans will hold Seamus with the highest regard and he will be one of the players that will always be welcome back to Everton in the future. He has semi - legend status for the service and determination he has shown us all. Players like Seamus are few and far apart nowadays due to the present day pampering and chasing the quick buck. His time has sadly come to an end and we need the change sooner rather than later. No doubt we will all have fond memories of him for his loyalty, determination and skill. We have been proud of him and he has been proud to wear the Blue Shirt....one of us.
If that fraud Ferguson is handed *legnedary* status then this lad Coleman is a God and needs a statue made of him.

His time is up...ish.

If you think we've seen the last of Coleman at RB then you haven't seen this lad Patterson defend yet.

When Coleman does stop playing, btw, I'd like him to be taken on as a coach. Ild rather have him in there than the shower of utter backstabbers and pisstakers they usually hand coaching jobs out to.

Certainly true with Benny in charge...:)

A top club would have punted him after that injury on international duty never really shown any consistency since.

Coleman has been a great servant to the club, but his time is over. This cosy play forever then become a coach needs to be ditched. Players should be moved on the moment they stop performing, coaches should be sacked the moment they are of no further use. We need everyone at the club to know that non performance results in them leaving. The club needs to get some of its old ruthlessness back and a winning mentality.….

@Bluerover needs to take his green glasses off.

Coleman has been terrible fir a while now and has cost us a good few goals, in his last few performances. And nearly cost us 2 points v Arsenal right at the end.

League of Ireland is calling, where maybe just booting the ball anywhere, might be seen as skilful
@Carl O'Ancelotti found another happy to finish mid table, no mark

Yes he can coach the rallying cries.
And look on from the bench for bad tackles so he can go and put his arm around one of the opposition

Ferguson is not a Leg end - he was an icon in bad times - Peter Johnson sold him without telling Walter Smith to balance his books - Kenwright paid OTT to fetch him back - he was crocked by then ...

Still Lie big Dunc though - not his fault all that business - still an icon never a legend - his goals per game prove that for a blues no 9-

Coleman was a bargain unfortunately now finished his double leg break speed that process up sadly ....

No icon of mine.

Went missing in a season we had a knife at our throats.
