Ok.

Replace costs 12m-20m fee, 2.5m year in wages.
Retain costs 2.5m.

I dont care which 1 we do, but would prefer that 30m to go elsewhere, this window.
It's no use mate, this feller's just anti-Seamus.

I dont know why, but there we have it.

A lot like you with Patters!

But I would keep him, potentially a very bad idea, he did have some below par games last season.
Well there's more basis for that because, as you stated, he's the worst RB at the club.

When Sean Dyche first came in he knew exactly what he would get from Seamus, consistent performances as well as leadership.
Seamus has had a very good season in spite of all the difficulties. The fact that Patterson did not get games immediately after the injury to Seamus again was the manager opting to go with more experience in Holgate and Godfrey rather than less with Patterson.
Next season with a fresh start I think it will be a more even contest between Seamus and young Patterson.
The amount of time Patterson spends injured is a worry for such a young man however.

I'd prefer another year of Seamus rather than another 4 years of Godfrey, Holgate etc. filling in at right back when Patterson is a injured, and you just know that Patterson will be in injured.
That's way off where we are right now. Coleman will be our starting RB next season and Patterson will cover because even now with Seamus coming up to 35 he's palpably the best RB we have.

It's a real weak position for us because of the vulnerability of both those players.

The saving grace is that we have Garner who can come in now, for a spell at least.

Coleman has been abysmal for about 3-4 seasons....up until last season.

That was his best season in a long long time. I had him down as 3rd best player of the season (behind Tarkowski and Pickford) and I think he deserves a lot of credit for that. He got himself as fit as could be and performed consistently well.

If he could sustain that level, he'd deserve another season. Depends how much that injury has taken its toll.
