Coleman was forced to alter his duties to compensate for a plodding midfield and a defensively-deficient revolving door at RW for the past two years. No coincidence Coleman scored the very first game he played behind Lennon this season. We gave up a ton of goals this year but RB wasn't on our long list of weak links until Oviedo had to play there. People blame Martinez's poor management for killing Baines and Mirallas and stifiling the development of Stones, Barkley and others but seem to penalize one of our most consistent starters who could still walk into the XI for at least 15 teams.

coleman a good player last season i personally thought. Just a bit let down by the overall team tactics which limited him to what he could do if he decided to commit.

Actually thought his best cover last year was del! Del would drop back to cover the space to allow coleman to get forward more. Where lennon was essentially being told to get into the box when he was in front of him, so coleman was left exposed.
