Seamus Coleman

I thought Coleman looked better on Friday than he had in ages!! I admit he was caught under Benteke for the goal but he wont be the only fullback that Benteke pulls off onto this season to win a header over. Going forward he seemed to be timing his runs better and making more runs. He looked more like the Coleman of old. Really strange to think people thought he had a stinker. I didnt think that Coleman should have come straight back in for Holgate but he definitely offers more going forwards and is a specialised full back. Holgate is still a centre half learning his trade and deputised more than adequately and he will get more gametime.

Rubbish. Coleman came back from that injury and looked fine - and then looked back to his best vs Boro.

He got caught out for Benteke's header in terms of his positioning - by the time he reacted it was already too late.

Hmm... when else did that happen? Oh yeh, Holgate doing the same thing vs Spurs for Lamela's goal...

While I agree Holgate was playing well, he was a young centre-half playing out of position. Coleman's performed just fine, and is looking dangerous going forward as well. You've just got blinkers on because he's over the age of 26 x

Coleman looked dreadful for the past two games, at the same time, how was Holgate vs Stoke?

Miss the coleman that was willing to try and beat his man, get to the line and put a ball in with his stronger foot,
Every single time now he seems to get into decent areas only to slow down, pass it back, or come inside onto his weaker left foot,
Lack of confidence or poor coaching and instructions?

Who knows, definitely not the same player...had a great game when he returned and alot of people thought that it was a good move to drop Holgate (motm in previous game), however hes now had 2 poor games...could be tactical? no idea!

Holgate isnt a RB, stop trying to play players in unfavoured roles.

And yet he was motm in his last game on the right receiving numerous compliments and plaudits....whilst Coleman has returned to 'form'.

He hasnt returned to form, im sure he will tho, I mean hes the best RB in the League, but I suppose we should drop him for an 19 year old CB, cos The Zat deems him unworthy.
