Seriously though if Zat really believes what he typed, then he is even crazier than I thought.

A first team of senior players (probably no older than 29 though), and a bench of U23 players.

We would be relegated almost immediately. We will be lucky if one or two of the U23's actually become average PL players let alone 'stars'.

Some of them would look good when we were in League 2 though.

It's an insane premise.

LOL zatara that is the worst idea I've ever heard

Oh darn lukaku just got injured for the season ah well let's just turn to our u23 striker. Hope he tears it up for 90minutes a game for the rest of the season otherwise it's the u21 strikers turn

Maybe its a bad idea but these players would already be good enough to play in the league and be potential stars....were not talking about throwing on untested players. Nor are we talking about useless players like valencia and kone.

Thats why i said that they would be getting minutes as subs and also if they were deemed not to be ready to make an impact then we would need to sign a ready made 1st teamer.

But the principle is to bring in those u21s to the club to compliment the existing youth sides. Not only spending small amounts here and there but also aiming for players who can push the 1st teamers now so theres actually compeitition.

It wont happen now anyhow as weve seen with Coleman/Holgate.

Wait hang on now we are talking about a fantasy world where we have a second eleven that is actually a team of U23 potential stars?

I know you're not reading this Zat because you're holding a grudge from two years ago, but that team would be more expensive than our actual first team.

Thought he looked somewhat back to the seamus we all know and love. Did particularly well defensively in the first half and was a good attacking outlet in the second half. Just as well as he'll be up against a certain Eden Hazard next week and will really need to be at the top of his game to cope with his threat.

About 15 minutes into the game yesterday , Seamy invited Antonio to take him on for a pace and then gently shephered him aside for his temerity. Loved it.

A small anecdote, my lads waited behind post game to get their programmes signed. I overheard a family asking a steward if he could tell Coleman they were the ones who had written him the letter. Anyway, Seamy arrived out, did the signing stuff along the line and the steward pointed the family out. Coleman chatted away and the steward took the group photo. I thought it a fantastic gesture from both Coleman and the steward. It's just the simple things.

...I'm a big fan of John Stones and can't help think he'll turn things around at City. Saying that, his transfer is in stark contrast to Coleman's and I can't help being mischievous and adding a verse to the famous song;

50 mill, 50mill John Stones,
50mill for fortune and fame,
50 mill, 50mill John Stones,
and he can't even get a game.

60 grand, 60 grand Seamus Coleman,
60 grand etc, etc.

It is an amazing perspective that there is still value out there.

Since we finished fifth when he was excellent,he has by and large gone backwards, lovely lad and all that but another who has lived on past reputation.

Deffo Dario. By and large he's been dreadful for 2 seasons now, he has the sporadic great performance but by and large gets found out positionally, switches off, and has been crap for far too long. Should be dropped and give Kenny, Connolly or Holgate a run.

The problem we have is our so called "senior pros" seem to get away with playing consistently crap but still get picked. Everton seems to be a too cosy club and there needs to be competition for places and there isn't.
