One of my favourite games to watch, we took the absolute piss out of Arsenal that day
Apart from the fact that he is one of our own I do hope Seamus Coleman recovers fully and gets back to his best. He is a rarity, a professional footballer who cares. As rare as honest politicians.
Does anyone know if he's ever been tempted or close to moving to one of the top 4 or 6? It seems amazing that we have had someone so good for so long at Everton? Is it too good to be true that he really is just one of those honest, loyal guys?
I was convinced we were going to finish top 4 after that, then Palace and Southampton happenedIm pretty much convinced that match is the best we've played in the past 20 odd years... was certainly the standout game in our best ever premier league season (yes I know we finished 4th under Moyes but the football was aids).

There were strong rumours of Man U's interest not too long ago, around the time they got Darmian instead. I think Seamus is just very loyal, and grateful to Everton for taking a punt on him (I vaguely recall quotes attributed to him saying as much). A punt he has paid Everton back a hundred-fold.
Bit of a homebody Leighton...I imagine him and Seamus are just easy going lads who appreciate what the club have done for them on personnal levels....sure as hell not for levels of glory like... I truly believe its lads like them who get what EITC is all about..and want to give back to the city too. Were actually very lucky to have two great rolemodels at the club in this era, very proud to have them as blues. He's the most loyal player we have I think. I've read several people claim that he didn't get on with Lukaku at all because of Rom's big mouth and general attitude towards seeing the club as a stepping stone.
Baines apparently could have gone to Bayern at his peak as well if you believe the rumours but opted to stay with us for whatever bizarre (but appreciated) reason.
When getting it back to goal and with a man tight on him he hasn’t got the skill or touch to turn (aside from that time he sent Cazorla for the Echo).
Two full backs on the same side always tend to just get in eachother’s way, anyhow.

Can't wait until he is back
