2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

It's a bit sad, not a fan of forcing the playing of young players.

But Armstrong, Dixon, Chermiti are part of the future Everton project. One of them is injured.

They won't get experience and adapt when Dyche doesn't play or just for 2-3 mins every game.

Tim is ready to start multiple games, but the other 3 have the potential to become that as well.

Games like Bournemouth and Ipswich are perfect occasions to give 15-20 min.

We're in a transition season were we need to be top bottom half and also lay the base with the players that still we be here, because there is certainly 1/3 of the squad to be renewed.

Sean is 99% out at the end of the season & he knows it.

He doesn't give one about EFC beyond June 30th 2025. The kids are going to get zero playing time as it doesn't benefit the starting 11 for the here and now.

Kind of agree with this. This season for him is all about maximising what he can out of the side to get credit in the bank for his next job.

First off I'll say I want us to win the league.

I appear to be in the 'Dyche in camp' by default as I genuinely think after being asset stripped for 3 seasons on the bounce and having 8 points deducted, that would have seen off just about every other team in the bottom half of the table.

I absolutely can't get past that Dyche has definitely kept us out of the Championship and we definitely aren't out of the woods yet.

Never mind all this you need to focus on what’s truly important:

How many minutes has he given to teenage right backs though?!!!

Tim played nearly every minute of our first 4 games, as well as the cup game vs saints. He was one of the few bright spots for us in those games.

Then got dropped once players with more experience came back (first few games we had no midfielders on the bench).

Since then, has had only 30mins across the next 4 games.

It would be brilliant to win the next 2. Fulham H and Southampton A.

That'll have us 11th/12th and give us some calmness/breathing space going into West Ham (A), Brentford (H), Man Utd (A) and Wolves (H).

Afterwards is a horrific December.

The next 2 games are perhaps bigger than we realise to set us up nicely before that run in December.

All about keeping our heads above water/chaos until ownership/hopefully invest in Jan.

Since then, we've not lost a game in those 4.

We've not lost a league game since Iroegbunam went out/Mangala come in.

Iroegbunam looked good against expectations that were on the floor but it was very clear he never had the legs to last.

He's injured at the min, but even if not - I wouldn't be putting him in vs Fulham considering our recent form.

As ive said many times you seem to have some weird sort of obsession with responding to my posts. I’ve not responded to countless posts where you’re calling me a bot or Dave lite, completely unprovoked, normally after an Everton win trying to bait a response for some reason. It’s very very strange behaviour and weirdly needy. I’ve no interest in debating any point with you as I’d rather you just didn’t engage with me at all.
Put him on ignore.

We lost all four games and conceded 13, We haven't lost in the last four he hasn't played and have conceded 2, there is a reason he has been dropped and it is nothing to do with age!

Surely even the biggest defenders of Dyche know this as well. The next 12 months are going to involve big change at Everton on multiple levels, and I am certain that includes a change of manager (whether that's over the summer or sooner is the only wiggle room regarding timing).

I'm not sure the change is going to be as big as most people seem to think to be honest.

Him and Gana coming on vs Newcastle made a huge difference. That first half their midfield just walked through us.

I agree, I wouldn’t want to change a team that’s just won, etc. But for his confidence and form, completely dropping him when he was one of our better players, while other players remain in doesn’t feel right for me.

I also agree he didn’t have the legs to last in all the games. It was obvious to everyone he should have come off at 70mins vs Bournemouth for example. Garner and doucoure on the bench. But he was left on while garner was unused and the wrong change was made with Doucoure and ndiaye. If he had come off, maybe he would have lasted better in following games etc.

I meant big simply because of the number of changes on the horizon: owners, therefore board. New stadium. I would imagine new manager and potentially new DOF.

Even if this change doesn't manifest on the pitch overnight, there is a lot of change inbound.

I think there in lies the point mate, there is inevitable change and then there is chosen change, if i was TFG id be managing the rate of change and be weighing very strategic decisions, to pace that. To much change to quickly isn't always a good thing. It needs to be strategic - if im TFG that's how im thinking.

I think there are a lot of assumptions being made amongst the fanbase on what will happen, im not at all convinced it will be all new broom at all, in fact id be surprised if all you say above happens personally.

Well, TFG would have to choose to give a new contract to Dyche, with his contract expiring at the end of the season

I've shared my admiration for the job Dyche has done. If he keeps us up, and leaves - I think as the years pass - Everton history will be very kind for him.
