2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Thats pretty much what I alluded to. Italian top sides had superior players to ours.

Do you disagree that if we had an injection of four top players we would be superior defensively and offensively?
What are you actually rambling on about.

Sean Dyche, at Everton, as far superior players than heever had at Burnley, yet he still continues with the same anti football approach. Draw first, try and snatch a win

He needs to end this Keane love in,Get Branthwaite back in the team and move the whole team 10 yards further up.

That's all the game required yesterday yet we sat off and let their midfield pick the ball up on the centre circle and run at us.

Keeping an 80 million CB on the bench because "Keano" has been solid isn't an excuse.

Stop messing and play your best players because he'll be off in the summer anyway.

Surely his job is now done here. He has steered us from the drop last season and did what he's known for. Respect for that too👍However we are no longer relegation fodder so i'd assume his purpose is now served. We need a new boss to kick on from that now surely? There was no need for that horrible sit back approach yesterday, purely ridiculous being at home to a team just 3 points above us. I can't see change though until the Freidkins take the keys, then i'd expect pretty rapid activity.

It would improve the squad and maybe the results, but the style and set up wouldn’t change, you dychette’s are of your heads for thinking differently. There’s a reason this guy stayed at Burnley for 10yrs and then when he was a fee agent for 12 months he sat at home twiddling his thumbs. No top clubs or clubs with ambition went near him.

Don’t you think some brilliant football minds at these clubs didn’t think, why don’t we go and get that dyche and see what he can do with more money and better players? That’s because football, through agents and coaches, everyone would have known what he does on a day to day basis and that probably put clubs off, there’s no ambition to improve yourself or get better as a coach and involve, maybe step in to 2024.

7 wins in 30

I think weve seen Dyche use both front foot (Joe Royle style) and ultra defensive (Allardyce) tactics and a few derivatives of both.

To be honest, I dont care which style we use -- though I loved watching us under Royle. I care about us winning.

For a basic example look at Mourinho at Madrid and Pep at Barca. What I think is that IF we used Mourinho / Dyche / Simeone type anti-football tactics then we have a GREATER chance of getting towards the top of the table...

...playing teams like City, Villa, RS, Arsenal and even Brighton at their own game probably would cost a fortune in new signings and of course a far different manager.

I doubt £200mil* in 4 top starting players (as an example) would get us into that top 4 or top 6 bracket.

However, if we had those players under an anti-football manager like Mourinho et al then I reckon we may be in with a chance.

*taking note that is unrealistic as we need 50% squad rebuild in the summer.

TLDR: Anti-football with some top additions may get us further up the table than playing teams at their own game.

Did we no longer become relegation fodder in a vaccum?

It’s funny how people want to block out the football being played when Sam was here

If we played anti-football with Branthwaite starting + Cafu + Robson + Kanchelskis + Batistuta we'd be getting results to take us near the top of the table.

Note: Many players under the top coaches can also play this way -- the old Italian way.

I honestly believe as players got fitter and tactics evolved the old Italian anti football became obsolete. It turned in to the Spanish rapier style slice them open sort of game for the elite clubs, relentless pressing. Sitting back against the likes of Manchester City would be suicide.

Dyche must have more than an inkling that he's off in the summer. He will be thinking of his next move. In his head keeping Everton up every season will look good on his CV and should get him another Premier League club. G0d knows what they must be doing in training though as they look utterly clueless going forward. But he won't care if they continue to grind out results.
