2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

We absolutely did when he first turned up. I’m sure us & Arsenal were at the top of a table for turnovers in the oppositions final third for several weeks/months?

They were creating huge chances every week & as usual couldn’t score. I’d have taken that every other week but his football has been dire for ages.
Huge chances every week 😂😂😂 ok mate you and @Zatara crack on in your little fantasy dyche world. So many teams absolutely devastated they didn’t pick him up when we did.

Passing the ball around the back line for 2 minutes isn’t progressive is it.

No it isn’t but I’m talking about a stereotypical “progressive” manager who plays out from the back.

We tried to keep hold of the ball last night & people soiled their bills everytime we tried to build something.

Sean Dyche isn’t a progressive manager but the beginning of his time here & the Liverpool game last year is the blue-print (pointed out elsewhere) for how Everton should play.

It was never the blueprint for the long run for Dyche. Those are one offs that will happen once or twice a season if we (or he) are lucky.

You need to stop being emotional mate & read what people are typing.

I’m not a fan of the manager & hopefully under the new ownership he’ll be off, especially when he deal runs out but Everton’s xG every single week was high earlier on in his Everton career. He had higher turnovers in the opposition third & Everton were far more aggressive but were just crap infront of goal.

What he’s served up so far this year & multiple times last year was/is absolutely rubbish.

He only moved Keane up coz McNeill was injured didn't he?
But why not just play 3 at the back and move Myko and Young further up the pitch and get runners off Beto….or just leave DCL on? It’s just not normal to put a central defender up top unless you have no more subs and an injury. It’s like putting an outfield player in goal!

Practising the ‘dark arts’ being aggressive but still playing good football or two entirely different things. That Leeds team of the 70s I presume you are referring to still played attacking futon foot aggressive football. This team doesn’t even play football.

Nothing about Leeds, good football is also subjective.

What even is "good" football? Winning football is what i want to see.

Honestly give up while you’re behind

Exactly ;)

I don’t think you understand the difference between being progressive and moving the ball through the phases of the pitch, and passing it aimlessly around the back with no clue how to move up the pitch.

He wasn’t planning on moving Keane there. It only happened because of McNeil’s injury. I’m not defending him but that change was made after DCL went off.

I understand fully.

We’ve had managers who’ve done both of that over the recent years & it’s either never worked because we don’t have the players or Everton fans have lost patience with it.

Dyche started to play the way, in my opinion, most Everton fans want an Everton side to play. Since then he’s created this “backs against the wall” narrative that’s allowed him to concede possession every week instead of being on the front foot.

Get to the end of the season, shake his hand & we all move on.

XG nonsense funny how that never gets mentioned now. I can read but I also understand football, something you and Zat don’t. You’re trying to convince me he took the job and turned into this attacking machine, creating loads of chances.

After that Arsenal win, his first game
We won 2 in 12 at home to
Leeds( who went down) and Brentford. Nicked points v Chelsea and spurs With injury time goals, Got battered by Arsenal, Liverpool,Utd and at home to Fulham, Villa and Newcastle. Leicester missed a pen to go 3-1 we go down if that goes in, he then took his mate out Keane out the team and put Mina in with 4 to go and we survived.

Nobody is mentioning xG now because he’s not creating any chances, that’s the whole point. The way he’s set his side up for a while is far more negative than originally.

You say you can read but I haven’t said anywhere we were an “attacking machine”. I said, when he first started, he had Doucoure & DCL pressing far higher up the pitch and we were far more aggressive.

xG was high because we were creating chances and missing ridiculous chances every week. DCL, Doucoure, McNeil etc. The Derby was a proper Everton performance for me personally & we simply do not see that anywhere near enough.

He’s a very limited manager & he thankfully won’t be here long term but let’s not re-write stuff.

capable of hoof. sets up to try and draw at home. at home! we aren’t f a newly
promoted team

his overall record here is sackable, probably every team must rub they’re hands playing us

no tactics doesn’t have a clue no football

hes
made our football cringeworthy

thinks he’s gods gift to us due to the “noise”
