Dyche not really but at same time dont really get people wanting him out right away, for me is get thru this season. Then make the choice at the end of the season when he can leave

Yeah he keeps the team up, protects the new owners investment. Means we won't have to pay out any compo if his contract expires and also gives the new owners plenty of time to make sure they recruit the right people at all levels at the club, not just the coaching staff.

I am not saying keep him just because of that if the form well goes to crap then 100% should be looked at. Also depends on this weekend of a point vs fulham is good if we beat southampton then yes is ok. If we dont beat southampton will be dissapointed in the team then. Just think the summer is the best time to reset the club imo. But is fair for any fan that wants him gone

Yeah I agree, I think most fans unanimously agree he should not be the manager next season. I just think don't think there is any point binning him off mid-season. Unless of course there is a Benitez/Lampard style spiral into danger or the new owners having a time-sensitive opportunity for a good appointment.

it's hard a crazy position though is it, to care about a goal so early in the season - there is a reason why a lot of people aren't fussed anymore. are you going to block all the people 'at the match' who left before the goal too?

for eg, i didn't know it ended 1-1 until a while after as i was cooking and my reaction in my head was ' that's weird'

With all respect mate, I'll ignore whoever I want, whenever I want. It's not about anybody leaving early. I just can't get my head round anybody not being happy with an equaliser. It's literally what it's all meant to be about. Anything else is just waffle.

The whole point is that the Everton manager should be coveted by Man United, the same as our best players should be. We should be getting a manager on the up, not one with a ceiling as low as Dyche's.

Yeah I don't think anyone would disagree with that. I just hate the binary nature of it all. There isn't just a single scale that determines bad manager and good manager. Certain managers are suitable for certain groups of players, leagues, short/long-term goals etc... Dyche is good at what he does but very limited in any scope beyond that. That's why he was a good choice for our situation and why he won't be the manager next season.

Yep that's a fair summary. Hopefully we'll never end up in a situation again where we have to appoint someone like that, but we'll see.

We may lose him to Man Utd. He would be ace at steadying their sinking ship. His credentials prove it over the past few years. Imagine the rage on here if they poach him from us.

He keeps things simple….defend for your life’s, when you get the ball hit it as far as you can then feed off the scraps…surely the Utd players would be able to understand that!!
