2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

We ain't going down, I'm no fan of Dyche and am counting down the days till he goes tbh but changing managers mid season is not the best idea for us imo. I just think with the level of rebuilding that needs to be done its better to formulate a plan with a manager/coach and DoF (whoever that might be given Thelwells job looks rocky) Id like to think they are realistically talking to prospective candidates now tbh. Lets get ready and prepared and when the season ends/window opens be ready to go at it and ready to go into a proper pre season under a new manager.
Im tiering of Dyche, but i tend to agree. If he had another 2 years on his contract, bin him, but currently we should probably keep him on unless we look like going down come january. Unless he starts suddenly getting much better results, he is not getting an extention, and we basically have until the end of the seaon to find the manager to take us forward.

I believe TFG will sack him as soon as they take over. I believe further that they realise they have to bring in a couple of players in the winter window just to ensure we don’t drop out of the Premier League. TFG cannot take a chance on the players and management we have currently will ensure Premiership football next year. The consequences of playing Championship football at the new stadium are dire. So a couple of new players but certainly not the type of players Dyche would want, that would just be more of the same. One thing that Dyche has shown is that if you’re not his type of player you don’t play. If two new players are brought in and Dyche stays then he will most likely leave them out of the team. TFG need to ensure we stay up, they will bring in someone on a short term deal to get us through this season and use the internet to get somebody they really want and the revival will start from next year.
use the internet… sounds space age

Must admit to an ancelotti style raised eyebrow browsing through this thread to comments that we'll def not get relegated with Dyche. Not like he hasnt been relegated before. 100% going to be when Burnley gave him his cards. In his first half season here we had chances to pull away but stayed up with 45 minutes to spare. Last season there were 3 awful sides all season. We're sort of relying this season on wolves and palace staying poor all season. We've just been turned over by the equivalent of last seasons Sheff United.
Most importantly however. We're not playing like we're knocking on the door for wins which i thought we were last season.
If we dont dig out results in the brent/wolves home games i think we're in bigger trouble than some predict.
Wish i was as confident with the we wont get relegated people.

When the new owners take place, he will be gone - our football is atrocious plus 11 points from 10 games - played one good team or two the rest of the teams were amongst us - December fixtures will be interesting as most are hard games we may be mid-table or in the bottom 3 .....

Wonder if the fact he‘s only got the rest of the season until his contract is up and it‘s looking likely he won‘t be renewing is having an influence on the player‘s motivation to play for him.
Compared to last season we look so half-hearted. Even when we were losing we at least looked within a chance of getting something from the games. This season we‘ve been terrible to watch in almost every game

Yeah I can understand the theory that you just run down his contract to save on compensation, but in reality trying to ride it out with a lame duck manager will likely do more harm than the cost of replacing him. Even without factoring potential cost of relegation his compensation would be more than covered by two extra league positions.

It’s false economy to keep a manager who isn’t performing well around to save on his compo. If he isn’t good enough to renew he isn’t good enough to stay full stop.

I've seen this said a few times but I think it's just a weird sort of nostalgia. There were times last year when we were terrible, nobody was saying we looked like getting anything out of the Wolves away game for example, or obviously Chelsea. I honestly don't see much difference between what i've seen this year and last, particularly in terms of effort. Whether that's a good or a bad thing obviously depends on your viewpoint, but I don't think there's a clear difference in what we're doing season on season.

What?! We didn't win a game for 4 months and looked the most half-arsed relegation fodder team in the league during that time and had no actual spark of hope or life.

We got 5 wins at the end and this is magically forgotten then?
