2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I can’t believe we’re going over this again. Having better quality options on the bench would be a benefit for the manager and give him more options, that is just logical for any manager. Therefore injuries to players that may not be in the first 11 but are on the bench do absolutely make a difference. We had two fit central midfielders v West Ham and instead of being able to rotate on Garner or Iroegbunam we had to keep Mangala and Gueye going all game whilst West Ham were able to freshen up.

Garner Branthwaite Coleman all play in Dyche’s first choice 11 when fit. One is also our best player. The other in a lot of people’s view, aside from your own, is our best midfielder. The third is our captain and first choice right back. Take those profile of players out of any other bottom half club for a significant period of time and see what happens. Crystal Palace have fallen apart defensively and their fans blame Andersen going to Fulham and not being properly replaced. I wouldn’t have him near Branthwaite in terms of ability but his unavailability is defining their whole season.

There’s enough genuine issues at Everton without you trying to pedal that injuries won’t have an effect on our points total.
But he doesn’t make subs though. And im
Not going to look but I guarantee he would have had options last season at times to change and didn’t , I bet I can find a game with, Beto, chermiti, dobbin and danjuma on the bench and he didn’t make a sub.

And Coleman wouldn’t be guaranteed a start if fit, also garner the same. Young has hardly missed a game for dyche he starts over Coleman

For me, he’s the worst manager of my lifetime.

I’ve never hated a manager as much. Currently, I am more uninterested in Everton than ever before. It’s because of this manager. He’s sucked the enjoyment out the club.

I’m aware it’s irrational and probably immature but I legitimately despise the man.
Same. The admiration this David Brentish lump inspires in some posters on here boggles my mind. What is there to like about the man?

Absolutely nothing.

He’s tactically inept, his in game management stinks and he’s incredibly unlikeable. He’s also a Liverpool fan.

I can’t emphasise the hatred I have for him. I’m a season ticket holder and only been to 3 games this season. Any other year I’d move my work around the matches, this season I’d rather work.

You keep parroting this binary statement as a fact. You do realise it’s not true don’t you? That we’ve not gone through every single game this year without the manager making a sub. You do recognise that don’t you?

So if he is making substitutions, even if they’re low in number, then it is logically better to have better quality options on the bench than to not have them. Even you surely can’t argue with that?!!!

There’s also probably an argument to make to say that if he had better options on the bench he might be more k cloned to make more substitutions but if you can’t accept that injuries might affect a season then there’s not much point looking at anything beyond that.

You’re practically on a par with the posters on here who said that off the pitch matters have no influence with what happens on the pitch and the ones that believed player quality wasn’t an excuse.

You will protect him no matter what. It’s boring
So the fact he swaps a striker for a striker most weeks on 70mins in the last few games has thrown a CB on to throw a CB upfront that’s nearly as embarrassing as when Stuart Pearce threw David James on upfront when he had a striker on the bench
He swaps a midfielder for a midfielder a wide man for a wide man.

He even swapped right backs in a game not so long ago that we were loosing and he had attackers on the bench. Dress it up how you like but it’s a fact his in game management and subs are shocking.

Wouldn't be the first time.

Jep, I am always rather a fan of doing something that Burnley did with Dyche or Kompany than being Watford.

I was fine with Dyche giving a last chance going into the season after we had a good ending to the season and wait for the start of 24/25, knowing we would be very bad to watch, but thought he would at least get an acceptable points return, with a pretty doable program.

But there are many alarming signs this season that don't give me the same hope as last season.

So he does make subs. Thankyou for accepting reality.

Don’t bother. You can’t argue against pure delusion. Dyche is an untouchable hero to some posters and simply nothing with convince them otherwise

Maybe it would, I'm just saying it's not quite as bad as it sounds when you look at the fixtures, though there was appalling results in there, and I did say going that long without a win is not really good enough. I definitely wouldn't defend another run like that, but last season I accepted it, as I didn't feel he'd lost the players, though he did his best to at Chelsea, and I was sympathetic to the pressure that had been heaped upon us through no fault of our own really.

Also, it's a very selective period of stats. By adding 5 games either side of the 13 games I could say we lost 9 of 23 and took 31 points from those 23 games.

End of the day though mate, it's about the here and now, and he can't afford a defeat against Brentford if he 'wants' my continued backing.
Ok mate

Little old Everton, be grateful we drew with West Ham and only lost to Luton by 1 goal
