2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Not what I said is it. I've explained my reasoning. I didn't want him sacked then, and he's not getting sacked yet, so I know we're all rooting for him to keep his job by picking up some results going forward.
There’s no reasoning for going 13 games without a win. Virtually no other team in the country would accept going a quarter of a season without a win and then try and say “oh the fixtures though”

When someone defend a 13 game winless run and says “oh the opposition” then yes, that is the appropriate response
You banging on about 13 game winless streak. We actually had a cup win in between the winless streak, which renders the stat incorrect. He pointed out there was a good run with the side of this.

No one gets sacked for a winless streak that ended 6 months ago.

I think we get Dyche is on borrowed time. I think most people accept that decision. Doesn't mean to say that he has things easy during his tenure and deserves a bit of credit.

I just don't know who you are arguing with, and I can't believe you want Dyche sacked now and let the current ownership select a replacement without a plan. That is short-term thinking and lacking any nuance or joined-up thought process. It's actually proper chimp-brain emotionally reactionary stuff.

Haha. Who do you think you are? Holier than thou with superior intellect I see.

Clueless.

The 13-game run was unacceptable, and with a competent board, Dyche would have been sacked long before it reached that point.

But then again, if we had a competent board, Dyche probably wouldn't have been anywhere near managing us in the first place.

Fixing the club itself has to be the first thing any new owners do surely. I am no fan of the manager however there must come a time when the club changes before yet another managerial change.

Whoever replaces Dyche has to be given the best chance possible to succeed otherwise we are yet again going to be frustrated, let down and angry and wanting another gaffer sacked.

The previous custodians and I use the term very generously, far outstayed their welcome and it has caused substantial issues for the club which a number of fans feared it would.

We can’t keep repeating the same mistakes and behavioural patterns. If ever a club needed changes for the better in terms of structure and culture, it’s Everton. That must be the first on the list.

Yeah bit of a rant. But hey ho... 13 game stuff is a bit old now in ended in April. Think we all know Dyche is gone before the start of next season. We are arguing the toss about whether we should sack him now.
The thought process now is:

1. Are we going down - I doubt it
2. Could could we go down if we hire the wrong manager - yes
3. Do I think the current regime will hire a right manager - no

We are hopefully weeks away from new owners, and we won't need a crisis manager after that.

The noise coming about sacking Dyche, why would you sack him now and who would you replace with?

Again utter nonsense, which 3. Branthwaite is the only certainty. Garner is not like our best CM by a mile, he’s had some good games last season and some very bad ones. And Coleman hasn’t been fit for 18 months and has hardly had great ganes when he’s played , id pick young over him every week.

If you asked 100 fans for their best 11’s
100 would pick Branthwaite, probably 50% Garner and 25% Coleman and most of them would be a sympathy vote.

Who are our 2 best CMs?

You keep parroting this binary statement as a fact. You do realise it’s not true don’t you? That we’ve not gone through every single game this year without the manager making a sub. You do recognise that don’t you?

So if he is making substitutions, even if they’re low in number, then it is logically better to have better quality options on the bench than to not have them. Even you surely can’t argue with that?!!!

There’s also probably an argument to make to say that if he had better options on the bench he might be more k cloned to make more substitutions but if you can’t accept that injuries might affect a season then there’s not much point looking at anything beyond that.

You’re practically on a par with the posters on here who said that off the pitch matters have no influence with what happens on the pitch and the ones that believed player quality wasn’t an excuse.

Mate, Dyche's use of substitutes is probably the worst ive seen in my lifetime.

Dismayed at the club once again making the same mistakes. We'll be in the bottom three by the turn of the year and it's going to be a massive task to move into the new ground as a Premier League club. No doubt somebody will be sniffing for Branthwaite in January, and that'll make our task even harder. Not 100% Dyche's fault of course as he should have been punted ages ago, but he's the manager that is likely taking us down or at least incredibly close to getting relegated.

More adaptable manger has us 7 to 9 points better off so far this season pretty much conviced of that, much better squad of players than last season. Dyche has correctly come under pressure for results, various poor sequences of results, losing winnable games, players that don't look fit. Players that don't look Dyche fit but get games becuase they are favoured personally. Poor game management, slow tactilly. Worst of alll literally making narratives up about fans expectations to cover much of these inadequacies up.
