2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Over several windows, on 5 players, it's hardly last of the big spenders. Your hero Frank spent 80 in one window. Not sure I can forgive you, tbh.

The defence he inherited has had about £15m spent on it. We've lost Mina and Godfrey in that time. And people pulling up other posters past comments about Godfrey don't wash. It doesn't take a genius to work out that those comments were made when we were very much pushing for Europe. What some thought wasn't good enough then isn't necessarily not good enough now.

In midfield he's spent £10 million on Tim. We've lost Onana and Iwobi.

On the wings he's spent £18 million, on a player we all like. Good business, well done.

Up top he's spent £43 million, 30 of that on Beto, and we all know why we went for that deal, and £13 million on Chermiti, who could still prove to be a very smart signing.

It's hardly the squad overhaul that all and sundry said was needed when he took over.

Forgot about the loans like, NSNO Everloan.

Haha what, no they weren’t, they were made in 2023?!? I mean, the date is right above them.

We also have to the value of over 100mil players on loan, maybe we loan 4/5 every year, for the next few, but long term it’s not a great idea, how many top teams do it ?

Fair enough. Teach me to speed read. Thought a bit of it that I read was during Carlo's time. Apologies.

My own opinion of Godfrey is that he'd be useful in this squad, and I don't think we buy Jake if he stayed. I thought his time was numbered as a starter under Carlo.

13 games without a win but he did play lots of Premier league teams in that run… this is gold lads.

In Dyche’s best ever managerial season this happened:

  • 2017–18: While leading Burnley to Europa League qualification, Dyche's team went 11 games without a win between December and March.
It’s because the players are crap and nothing to do with his shameless approach though…

Ye, for players that we can stagger payments over 5 years for. Hardly a huge pool to choose from there. Or id imagine you're of the opinion that the players we have signed are all Dyches choice and are poor because of Dyche so no point arguing with you.
New reason it's not Dyche's fault just dropped. Its the payment structure we used to purchase players fault we're underperforming.

I love this thread. I hope Dyche gets a lifetime appointment for no other reason than to keep this thread alive in perpetuity.

Lol

I didn’t make it about “you” I made it against a bunch of spineless cowards

Luton aren’t doing too good mate, but their manager still tries to win because he’s not a coward like Big Sean

Mmmm coward manager, supported by a cowardly sellout. Makes sense now

You know if you try to win and lose a load of games, it’s still losing? I’m sure Luton fans would have preferred premier league football over the championship but I’m sure they’ll console themselves with how much they tried to win.

He'll be made up that young Jarrad was sent home from international duty as it's a perfect excuse to get Keane back in the starting XI. Gonna be another few months for Branthwaite to get Dyche & Premier League fit now.

Absolutely none of them did that I asked and I know loads of them, my best mate is a season ticket holder. The consensus was that the big teams got all the decisions, the games were mostly spoilt by var and the tv coverage was 50 minutes on their opponents and five minutes on them. To a supporter they all said the championship was much more enjoyable (figures as they were actually winning before they got promoted)
