2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

The worst winless run in the clubs entire history? How dare people go on about it, it’s outrageous!

Yes “it happens”, just the once in 150 years and with this negative helmet in charge.
Jonny ball and Norris McWhirter would love dyche he’s a record breaker. Worst winless run , biggest defeat 6-0 Chelsea in 20yrs . Worst start to a season in 60/70yrs. First time ever we loose back to back from 2-0 up

so once again player quality and transfer investment only applies to managers of other clubs not Everton. Good to know your hypocrisy is consistent.

I don't think it's necessary Everton.

It's a Dyche thing.

@blueboy72 would defend Lampard to the hilt. Players fault. We'd not spent enough. We need to give someone 3/4 years.

For some reason - none of that applies to Dyche.

Hopefully he is relieved of his duties this weekend.
Surely after one more loss, Mike....

Could it be because we've spent money on players? Or because of all the negative records we've broken with Dyche's appointment? Or because we are going backwards all the time?

Could it be because we've spent money on players?

We've not.

We've made money since Lampard and sold players who'd definitely be starting for us now.

We've progressed under Dyche more than we ever did Lampard. Points total says it all.

Not gonna go into this again as you're genuinely just parroting both of those points regardless of what anyone says anyway and you won't be swayed.

We've bought players for Dyche and the team is better than Lampard's, yet keeps breaking "worst ever" records yearly. That's not progress in itself, and he keeps bigging us up to go down regardless of players anyway.

It's weird how you weren't this defensive about Lampard, ever, but you'd die on this bog standard manager's hill, but you do you.

You don't think our ability or lack of to pay up front effects the quality of player we can buy, no?
No, not really. You should know from our Moshiri oddysey that spending big doesn't automatically equate to being good. We have overpaid for quite a few players recently and then couldnt shift them.
It's about finding the players that fits your squad for the right price. I would even say caliber of manager is just as important when attracting talent. Good attacking talent is less likely to join a team if they know their job is 90% defense and 10% chase the ball after its hoofed.

Yes mate, it’s why I don’t expect Everton win the league

In your own time though.

We’re all eagerly awaiting

This is getting dangerously close to realism for you.

You’ve already answered your own question, and proven my point. As you well know we don’t have any third division players, which is the majority of the reason why we finished 22 points ahead of Luton, which shows that utter wham you chat about the Luton manager ‘playing to win’ made absolutely zero difference in the real world of football when he’s got a load of crap players.

Given this blinding reality which you are now pinning your argument on, why did you then spend all that season telling anyone who would listen that Luton were a much better team than us? They weren’t, and the league table showed that.

Player quality is paramount and maybe you should focus on this over the last 30 years at Everton rather than wetting the bed all season about the manager and whichever newly promoted team has won a game that weekend.
