Every part of it. Branthwaite improves the defence immeasurably. Midfield is probably the same overall in terms of quality, I thought Allan was absolutely crap for us and he ended up going to Qatar or wherever so that probably proves as such. Also think Iwobi was diabolical for us and Ndiaye is an improvement. Richarlison left in June 2022 so he doesn’t really count, and Gordon downed tools and was trying to force a move.

Branthwaite is the only one. You’ve also got no right back now, Iwobi was actually our best player under Lampard at times. You had Mina who’s better than Tarkowski, Richarlison is way more effective than N’Diaye.

We also now have Gueye and Doucoure still 2 years on, no notable improvements there and lost Onana. Allan > Mangala all day.

Gordon dragged us up under Lampard at times he was inconsistent but miles better than McNeil/Harrison/Lindstrom. What are you watching fella.

You’ve already answered your own question, and proven my point. As you well know we don’t have any third division players, which is the majority of the reason why we finished 22 points ahead of Luton, which shows that utter wham you chat about the Luton manager ‘playing to win’ made absolutely zero difference in the real world of football when he’s got a load of crap players.

Given this blinding reality which you are now pinning your argument on, why did you then spend all that season telling anyone who would listen that Luton were a much better team than us? They weren’t, and the league table showed that.

Player quality is paramount and maybe you should focus on this over the last 30 years at Everton rather than wetting the bed all season about the manager and whichever newly promoted team has won a game that weekend.

Hoping we get something but no idea what side gets put out.

For all his obvious quality with the ball we need N’Diaye to be more decisive if we are gonna stay up, McNeil is just a left peg and he’s been way more useful so far this season.
