2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I appreciate him keeping us up those two seasons

It was a difficult job and he managed it

I do think we’ve hit the ceiling of what he can achieve though and I’m worried that he’s either lost that dressing room or he can’t get the best out of them anymore

Regardless of what it is, I’d be looking at moving on from Dyche once the takeover is completed

No bitterness or hatred towards him, but it’s time for him to go imo

Couldn't agree more, Mikey. Credit where it's due and he'll always have my respect from his first 18 months.

I still think we'll be sage with him should TFG keep him until May, but ideally they'll bring in someone new right away as it's just becoming too toxic with Dyche.

If he'd accept the terms, I'd take Moyes until May, but preferably, we'll just get the actual man in.

Honestly mate it’s not worth it. Like the City and experience is but the football is utterly crap.

I will make it into a trip to see family too..

I haven’t seen is live since Wolfsburg 4-1 with Martinez ..

I wasnt to see our new home once it’s built … I’m just going to have to wait for dyche to be sacked first though

Not at all. Changing opinions and having an open mind is a good thing.

I routinely revisit commentary immediately prior to Dyche to provide that context you crave and to demonstrate how, perhaps, it all isn't on the manager.
Except when someone does change their mind you increasingly have taken to trying to attempt to humiliate them by grabbing some ancient quote where they said something different to what they are saying now. Weirdly you only do that in defense of Dyche, not in any other thread, which diminishes the idea that you are not "all in on Dyche" which is your usual claim. It is perfectly reasonable, for example, to suggest Dyche was doing a decent job in Jan 2023 and to then decide that he is doing less well in Nov 2024 which is the very example I drew attention to in the start of this conversation.

Thats fine for next year lad. But this season we cannot take a risk with an unknown. The team are in big danger and we need to play the percentage game to stay up

I'd be surprised if Dyche didn't see out the year unless it looks like we are in serious trouble. On the one hand I'd much prefer a new manger to come during the summer but continuing with this dross for the next 6 months is going to be painful.

His style, his favoritism towards certain players, his stubbornness, works when they are picking points and climbing up the table. Without those results, he is a very difficult person to play for. I thought his end was coming during that winless stretch that started last year but he pulled a rabbit out of the hat towards the end of the season. I doubt that happens again.

Had long since grown sick of “it was like that before my time.” But to anyone one wider footballing world who realises he’s been here 2 years, he’s making himself look a bit of a helmet saying “that’s what we are constantly trying to improve, other clubs use the chequebook….” when talking about goal scoring.

How long does he want? The chequebook was in the bin when he arrived. Best part of two years to fix the same tactical issue? He actually tried something at the start of the season and we started conceding 3 a game, he poo’d the bed and sent everyone back into our penalty area. Literally the only other visible attempt to increase our lethality in the box has been lobbing Keane up front. That’s it. That’s what he’s come up with.

But but but we haven’t got the players. Change the shape or the patterns then. Deary me.

Did I humiliate you one time mate?

I think most are in the same boat mate. The last sentence there is spot on - there's no need for the hatred and anger at him. It's misplaced.

Personally I'll always grateful to him as I thought we were down. [Link]

We do look in serious trouble. We have an extremely difficult run coming up and he can't even score against 10 men. Yes we are good defensively but only at the detriment of the attack. We look like we can't hit a barn door
