2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I think Jan 2023 was.

I think we'd have gone down if we kept Lampard, or if Bielsa said yes.

I'd wrote us off, here - 2 weeks before Dyche come in. After that thread, we lost to Southampton (H) and Aston Villa (A) and then Dyche come in.

Right now, we're on easy street comparative to the day he joined. We surely can spend in January too - when have we last had the ability to spend, without selling in January?

I worry about this season but for the first time since Ancelotti, I'm feeling a bit optimistic because of TFG.
We need to get to the new ground in the premier league though, we can’t afford to drop.

What did he say?
"I've never questioned the fans, despite what people have written. It's obviously helpful if they are behind us, but if they're not, please stay with us for as long as you can."

Everton manager Sean Dyche on Farhad Moshiri: "That's just how it's been. We know the reasons for that, the fans didn't want him at games."

Everton manager Sean Dyche on his relationship with Farhad Moshiri and potential ownership change: "I've always had a relationship with him, WhatsApp messages, the odd phone call, nothing too serious. We all know other groups have been close (to a takeover) and fell away. Until we're absolutely there, we will just sit tight. I can see why they've just stepped away until it's finally done."

"Last season at this point, we had four points. We have 11 points now and I want more. Look what happened next. We are still looking to crack the code and that's we've spoken to the players about. That's my job."

Everton manager Sean Dyche on striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin: "I've reminded him of the player he can be and the threat he can be. He showed that at Liverpool last season. He's not missed much on the training ground this season."

Plus many more ramblings about narratives, margins, hard work, we've done enough....

He really pees me off. He has the gall, yes the gall to go to the end where the Everton fans are in an away match just like at Old Trafford and clap them after the thrashing we got because of poor play arising from his tactical genius.

Why didn’t someone ask him why McNeill was laughing at 4-0 and if he’s been fined or something.
The standards of media reporting is getting as bad as the team performance.

Can we create a media outlet and employ Big Nev as our press conference reporter please?

Although to be honest I think Dyche himself seems surprised he’s still employed such is the state of the club

I mean why do we even employ a manager and coaching team to coach the players when everyone knows you just have to buy footballers and then send them out onto the pitch to run wild like free range chickens.
We do need coaches etc but we need leaders/captains on the pitch which going back 20 odd years i cant think of many we have brought in Sunday a perfect example on the first Goal everybody in the box while Rashford has a 15-20 yard gap infront of him whose the leader on the pitch sorting that out, teams have sussed us out on corners etc Whose the leader saying lets try something else for a change ?

Well, doesn't that just take the cake, @Cake?!?

He also came out and called us all keyboard warriors and said proper fans can see what they’re doing. Gasdyching.

Proper fans? He must mean the ones having a good old jolly fun chat in the 'new-look-interactive-live-blog'. 🥳

Indeed - Bielsa jibbed us. Potter jibbed Leicester in the summer because of a potential point deduction coming. He'll attract jobs from other Premier League relegation fodder. Or teams aiming for promotion who'll quickly become, relegation fodder.

New owners will have to put money in - and they'll know it.

They can want to put money in all they want, doesn't mean the rules will allow it. Just looks how rich Newcastle are and how normal their spending has to be.

Well, that would be this bold bit;

Never at a bigger club, or paid more than his current gig.

But couldn't care less where he ends up.

I'm interested in whoever replaces him, and how they're going to get goals from this team to take us away from repetitive relegation fights.

My prediction is £200m+ transfer spend over the next 2 transfer windows, if PSR (stadium shenanigans/sponsorship?) allows.

Given we're the only team who hasn't spent a bean for 4 years (made profit in every window) - surely there should be the bandwidth.

As for Newcastle, they're here;

Yes and my comment was to the bold bit. No idea why people think the Friedkin's will come in and just be allowed to revamp the squad. We have to generate money to do so and we have no real saleable assets. Newcastle went big like one window and then got absolutely slapped down and had to PSR shenanigan their way through their whole Summer window.

They'll spend, and we'll get some pacey, decent footballers rocking up to the Toyota Stadium.

We need to, because we won't have enough footballers in the summer otherwise.
