2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Why didn’t someone ask him why McNeill was laughing at 4-0 and if he’s been fined or something.
The standards of media reporting is getting as bad as the team performance.

Can we create a media outlet and employ Big Nev as our press conference reporter please?

Although to be honest I think Dyche himself seems surprised he’s still employed such is the state of the club
I think making a bigger deal and unsettling one of the only players who can make something happen in one moment of brilliance, even if he's playing badly, is a bad idea to be honest. Winning against Wolves is ALL that matters

That's the problem with this club...

No discipline.

Fine him, bench him, and if he doesn't like it, drop him.

That will focus him.

Well, let's use the full quote;
Let's not

It's you and the other Dyche defence league who are putting too much on the manager talking about net spends and players in/out.
If we just him on tactics, training, man management, in-game management and results then he is failing miserably on all counts. Add in PR with the fans and it's a full house.
It doesn't matter what we spend. What he does with what we have is the point.

/Sigh.

Basically mate, I agree with what you said 2 weeks before we brought Dyche in;

So, clearly have bigger issues than who the manager is as this poor decision making in the transfer market has gone on for a long time.
What I asked was;
Who would you get in that would definitely save us? starting from scratch, in the same financial mire as we are in?
Sacking the manager now isn't going to give us Brighton's front line or rid us of Maupay and McNeil

I just give Dyche the same courtesy as I, and you gave Lampard.

People are making way too much out of this

Just because he laughed doesn't mean he doesn't care we lost. It might, but fining someone for laughing is the Kim Jong Un school of management

That's fair, up to a point.

However Dyche has had longer, is performing more poorly and seems to have lost all sense of responsibility.

and in retrospect, I don't think Lampard would have performed much better with a better frontline. These days, I see the manager as by far the most important cog in the wheel when it comes to performance on the pitch. Old quotes don't factor in change of opinion or evolution in understanding do they?

One thing that strikes me about this debate is that I think your opinion of Dyche and whether you think the squad is better or worse then last season are basically the same question, aren't they?

If you think the squad is worse, you have your explanation for the downturn in performance this season. Reasonably you can say it's not Dyche's fault.

If you think the squad is better, there's no excuse for us doing worse this season than last. As such, Dyche takes the blame.

Is there anyone who doesn't want Dyche out who thinks the squad is better than last season?

Or anyone who wants Dyche out who thinks the squad is worse?
