2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Absolutely terrifying this.

View attachment 284397

To be fair, his managerial statistics mean nothing now.

What matters is the nitty gritty of the next one or two games, because I find it preposterous that Dyche would be here longer than that, once TFG come in. Dyche is done. It's like having a knackered car that you need to get to the garage for repairs but rather than doing that, you're just going to keep driving and fk the engine anyway.

Haha that includes two seasons in the Championship too. His Premier League career win ratio must be nearly below 30% at this point.
Feast your eyes on this beauty for this season and this is prior to our 4 - 0 tonking on Saturday so it is even worse now.

No, no lads! Can't you see? It's all part of Dyche's master plan!

It's the classic 'rope-a-dope' tactic! You know, like how Ali beat Foreman in the 'Rumble in the Jungle' back in 1974?

Just lean back, let the opposition hit with all they've got, while you just soak up all their pressure until they're tired out and exhausted, then you counter and hit them with the sucker knock-out punch! 👊💢

Except in Dyche's case, it's not really going all to plan. It's less 'rope-a-dope', and more just 'dope'. 😤

If we weren’t in such a perilous position then I wouldn’t care getting beat tonight. A toxic goodison spitting its venom at Dyche would be glorious. But there’s no way anything but a win is acceptable tonight. We have to win plain and simple otherwise we will be in a really really grim position going into the hardest 4 games the league could possibly throw at us.

Spot on.

If I thought a defeat would push Dyche over the edge I could stomach it but our situation is so perilous that we need wins and points regardless and then hope that TFG do the right thing when they take charge.

I am shocked to see that while not surprised, we used to have solid pressing numbers last season.

For me surprising that Forest is similar in so many numbers but pressing and long balls, but so much further up the table.

Symptomatic of a few factors, playing more passively, no rotation and Kate subs meaning pressing falls off a cliff mate in games.

Throw in DCL who looks frankly hand arsed and Doucoure who looks like he cant run these days anymore - and add Garner who for me used to dictate the press when played centrally missing pretty much the season so far.

Said pre season that I felt Garner was massively underrated in his importance to this side and think we've seen that unfold.

Oh yeah add in that when Branthwaite doesn't play we naturally sit ten yards deeper and yhstbneans we can't press and just try to block space instead.

Jep, persisting with a lot of under-performing players is not really good.

The thing is we have not many good footballers in the team, Ndiaye, Mangala and Garner are some of them. Tim who is out for awhile as well.

And Garner for me is a key figure in this squad for the pressing and also passing. He's more a coach's player than a fan's player unlike Ndiaye, but he delivers a solid level almost every time.
