2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

He thinks his 'honest approach' makes him look good. Tell everybody that we've been crap for years, that we haven't been able to score goals for years, that we've had no money, that the club has been in disarray and he's the only one steering the ship, etc.

But he's not being honest at all. Honesty would be admitting that he's got things wrong, that he has been unable to turn the tide, even with a stronger squad this season than last, that he's unable to teach this group of players how to defend leads and score goals, etc. He conveniently omits all of this when he's being 'candid' in his interviews.

You've been beaten twice by Southampton in three months.

He loves to deflect blame, point the finger elsewhere, and pick and choose things that make him look good.

The ship has sailed now, you've shown yourself up to be miles out of your depth - the sooner this chapter is put to bed the better.

I was willing to give him the chance to prove me wrong with the start of the season, but unlike last season I don't have this feeling of us getting out a bad form with Dyche.

He lost me after Bournemouth that conference was not worthy a manager on that level.

Win tonight and we're 5 points clear of the drop zone. We (the fans) need to turn up. Doesn't matter if you like Dyche or not, this is a massive game.

If it was a 6 pointer in April we'd be out in force ramping up the atmosphere. This shouldn't be any different. It's our last season at Goodison ffs.

And before anybody says anything, I'm not blaming the fans, but it would be nice if we played our part some time before it's do or die.

Sadly, looks like a large section of the fans have given up, and who can blame them, tickets all over the place available tonight, was tempted to make the 7 hour round trip but me and many like me have got better things to spend our money and time on that watching his type of football and sadly this match may have been my last opportunity to get to Goodison which is a painful thought in itself!

The fans have all done their bit for years, its up to that idiot and the players on the pitch to step up to the plate now. In all honesty we got along ok without fans during Covid so they CAN do it!

Dyche Out

If we weren’t in such a perilous position then I wouldn’t care getting beat tonight. A toxic goodison spitting its venom at Dyche would be glorious. But there’s no way anything but a win is acceptable tonight. We have to win plain and simple otherwise we will be in a really really grim position going into the hardest 4 games the league could possibly throw at us.
No mate. We should care about winning every game, regardless who the manager is, the fans need to maintain standards and our standards should be winning

Games I have been to the fans haven't even been that bad. It's got bad when the players have seriously underperformed by being slack / the manager has done his classic no change trick when we absolutely need one.

Said it before and I will say it again - Abuse I'm not a fan of and is not okay but the fans absolutely have a right to air frustration as much as support and passion. Both are fair and both we have put to the team this season.

I get what people are saying but it's hard to get behind what we are getting served up.
The football is horrid , boring and stale and not working.
If the fans had a team right up for it , they would respond
But it's not happening and hasn't for a while.
It's been ten minutes or so of having a bit of huff and puff then lapse to a boring one dimensional hoof ball with no goal area excitement.
Think the cap between the manager and fans is to far gone now.
Early goal would sort the atmosphere out hopefully we finally get one.

The fans will do what they always do mate, get right behind them from the start and then it is up to the Manager and team to give them reasons to keep that buzz going. If the players are half assed and/or the tactics too defensive with turgid football, then unfortunately it is inevitable that the atmosphere will follow suit. Everyone needs to turn up, players manager and fans. It is symbiotic.

Got to get 3 points tonight no matter what. It is all that matters.

You have seen this though, mate?

Even if all the fans organised some sort of massive cheerleading pep rally in the stands, with choreographed gymnastic dance moves, pom-pom's and short skirts, and some really motivational/inspirational fast pace dance song pumping through the PA with everybody singing along...

It wouldn't change a thing because of the way Dyche has us set up.

The fans will turn up as they always do, they cannot be blamed for whatever goes on on the pitch. However, the fans will not be physically able to keep up the intensity if 15 minutes in they are watching us camping in our own half giving Wolves 90% of the ball and clearing our lines basically waiting to concede. When the fans turn after that, Dyche can once again be to blame.

I think the fans have done enough dragging this club out of the toilet over and over again these past few years. I think it’s time for the manager to turn up and do the job that he’s paid the 5th highest salary in the league to do.

Personally think we get 6-7 points clear of the bottom 3 at this stage we'll be safe.
