2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Probably for the best if we all just sit there, sulking. Angry. Waiting to fume at our own players.

The fans will react to what is going on on the pitch, as they always do. So if we’re appearing to surrender the entirety of the play very early on and playing “sit back and hope for the best” ball, then I expect the fans to make their feelings known, yes.

Did Ally McCoist actually say that "the grass isn't always greener on the other side"?

We don't even have grass at the moment Ally!
I think the grass is greener metaphor works when Moyes finishes with West Ham in 9th or way back when , when Curbishley left Charlton in 13th . We have a real chance of going into the bottom 3 tonight after a relatively easy opening to the season and we’ve won about 9 games in a calendar year .

I appreciate things could get worse but worse than , potentially 18th is what 19th ? it feels like it doesn’t really matter too much to be honest .

I’d love dyche to win a couple on the bounce now and go on a little run but it currently feels a bit unlikely. As for the likes of McCoist he’s one of the football experts that tell us we’re good at set pieces and are defensively organised . Best to take their opinions with a pinch of salt

They base most of their comments off reputation of the manager as they don’t watch us every week other than probably 5 mins of highlights etc.

What you're saying is, if we'd held on vs Bournemouth and Beto scored the sitter late on vs Southampton then they'd have kept Dyche based solely on position in the table?

Nah.

He was always gone - as he was in the summer if they tookover first time.
No mate; what i'm saying is that based on last year (seeing as you mentioned that he finished on 48 points and you still they would have sacked him) that if he wouldn't have went so long without winning, and maybe tried to remedy the situation instead of letting it roll on and on; then maybe, he could have actually convinced his potential new bosses that he had he tools to be PL manager and take the club forward

I had to put on my best scouse accent

That reminds me of when Radio Manchester were doing a phone in and were asking supporters what should in you're opinion, be the name of the new Manchester City stand. If the stand could be named after a former player/ legend, who should it be ? The replies were off the scale, thousands upon thousand replied it should be named after the Man City legend Colin Bell..you can work out why and just who all of those fans actually supported. Clue there are two football teams in Manchester..

You said;

So even if we’re 10th in the table, playing some form of football, you reckon they’d still can him? I don’t.

... I'm saying yes, because they were replacing him after he earned 48 points, 1 point below 10th last year.

... I'm saying even if we turned 3 results around this season and sat 10h - they'd still have sacked him.

Just been sent this but cant validate as I’ve deleted twitter. Possession is no surprise but the pressing can't be right can it?

It makes sense. Yes, we try and press far up the pitch, but drop back into our shell once we can't win possession. There's no threat of counter attack so the opposition will have larger spells of uninterrupted possession.

I think Brentford would actually be a good model for us, would excite the crowds imo.
