2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

So even if we’re 10th in the table, playing some form of football, you reckon they’d still can him? I don’t.

Yes.

They'd have had to either issue a new contract, or sack him. They weren't issuing a new contract - because they were going to can him in the summer after we'd just finished 12th.

The best he could hope for was making it to the summer, if TFG's pick preferred then.

As is, that's gone because of results. If the stuff posted on X/shared in this thread about him getting another year on top of his wage if sacked, then only Everton could be so stupid to incentivise being sacked over seeing out a contract.

If he does have that in his contract, they'd just stick him on gardening leave till the summer rather than sack him. I'd agree though over that in his contract. I cant believe anyone would add such a term, that would incentivise being sacked.

Id only understand it if it was the first year only when he got a bonus for keeping us up - to prevent Everton sacking him just before officially/mathematically safe.

Yeah, going 3 months without a win would raise serious questions about a managers competence like. So I can understand them having questions

What you're saying is, if we'd held on vs Bournemouth and Beto scored the sitter late on vs Southampton then they'd have kept Dyche based solely on position in the table?

Nah.

He was always gone - as he was in the summer if they tookover first time.

Everton have played 36 games in 2024 (including FA and League Cup games). Everton have only won 9 of these games. 25% win ratio in the entire calendar year.

Sides beaten - Palace x2, Burnley, Forest, Liverpool, Brentford, Ipswich, Sheff Utd, Doncaster.

What more can he do?
