2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I've lost track of who wasted the most cash on the worst players before Dyche. I do know that Koeman, Martinez, Lamps, Benitez and prob Silva had us bang on for relegation having wasted MILLIONS £££. I've never felt more at sea watching people like Gyllfi, SNadro and other complete c&&&ts strolling around GP. Look at the deals done for tosh like Dele ALli.

Sean's on track for a hat-trick of relegation escapes with a frankenstein of a squad.

Thanks Sean.

P.S. I'm not at the ground fortnightly like some and admit out our football isn't 'free flowing'. Sean doesn't hide his style, values or targets on the pitch. It's just he believes that being int he Prem is better than NOT being in the Prem.

Would 777 have failed a Championship Director's test? Let that settle in. THe NEw Ground in administration before it's built? RIP EFC. Thanks Bill, Thanks Mosh. Thanks Konman, Roberto, and the rest.

So let us all take it out now on Sean and Kev keeping an ageing squad up on buttons.
Spent 40 million on strikers last season, spent money this season, his 1st season He kept us up by luck more then anything. Leicester self imploding kept us up, had they not we where down.

Last season you needed 23 points to stay up, the average is normally 38. Not really a miracle worker. Let’s not forget we won 7 games in 365 days.

Under this manager we got on not 1 but 2 runs of not winning for 13 games.

He a bad manager who plays bad football that actually makes us worse.
Won 1 game in 3 years where we conceded 1st

Laughable to say the Club having to do poverty terms transfer deals for Beto etc is some kind of stick to beat him with.

Yes I understand that, but that wasn't the point. Nobody is saying Guardiola or Arteta or Maresca are doing a bad job because they have a philosophy, because that philosophy is working. All managers have a style of play, and Dyche's is crap, that isn't the argument. The argument is that the managers mentioned are prioritising that style over gaining points. It's not a criticism levelled at Dyche and Allardyce because that's effectively the opposite of what they do (in theory, as I said).

The other thing is we knew and welcomed what we were buying when we brought him in and at each & every season end thus far.

At the time and over the past two season we needed someone who could make us difficult to beat and grind out points that was the purpose of why we brought him here.

Now he is disliked for being pragmatic and grinding out points.

Its illogical really, we all bought a ticket to the show.

Russel Martin has played the same way at every team he has managed and it usually works for him it just takes time for it to all gel. Tbf too him he has had the likes of Luton and MK Dons playing some decent stuff before considering they were down the leagues but it always takes time with him.
I'm not criticising Martin, i'm just saying there is a difference between the approaches taken by the managers being discussed which explains why they aren't seen the same way in general. Dyche and Allardyce are all about minimising risk, it's boring and hard to watch but the idea is that you will get enough points over the season by being solid and making the most of set pieces etc. The argument is that the other managers are doing almost the opposite, they're maximising risk by being open and taking chances in dangerous areas. When that works, a manager will be praised a lot more than the Dyches and Allardyces because it's so much more enjoyable (see the deification of Graham Potter for getting 1 more point than Chris Hughton but with better football for proof) but when it doesn't they will also get more stick for it because it's seen as reckless.

We had it here with Martinez, the 3-3 with Liverpool and the 3-0 over Arsenal were praised to the high heavens in a way that a Moyes classic KITAP1 would never have been, but the idiocy of throwing away a 2-0 lead to West Ham because we brought an extra striker on when down to 10 or conceding an equaliser in injury time at Stamford Bridge because the full backs were still bombing forward and we were trying to play intricate football stick in the mind a lot more than a boring Moyes 0-0 or 0-1 do.

Dyche haters' heads continue to spin off everywhere while Evertonians celebrate a 4-0 win.

Imagine what it must be like hating losing and drawing...AND hating winning too. It must be horrible for them.
Everton can win a game but Dyche is still an awful manager, that’s fact his career says so

23% win rate 49% loss rate. Managed more games then his team have scored goals

Put your hand up in the air if you’ve wanted Everton to get beat???

No!! just the usual suspects then.

Very Telling

As you correctly point out as you don’t attend the matches it’s far easier to endure the dire football on display since you can choose to turn of the stream at any point and find something more rewarding to do.
It does make a difference.
Our perpetual fear of relegation has led us to Dyche.
The fact that apparently we are the only club that would cease to exist with relegation.
It’s the monkey on our back that has destroyed the club .
We lack any aspiration , we display zero bravery.
We are a sad little husk of a once great club , desperate to exist in the margins , unnoticed and unremarked.
A contemptible cowardly entity of no real value except to its own supporters .
Dyche is the living embodiment of that sporting cowardice , he is limited in ability, tactically inept and lacks any vision .
We deserve each other really .
Hope you find a good stream for Saturday.

It's not working for Gary O'Neil either, no one is calling him vain. It's all about results.

If their employers have an issue with it, they'd be fired. Conversely, if I was Russel Martin and I got the Soton job based on the style I want to implement, then I scrap that, I wouldn't have a job very long either.

I just find the implication that these guys are selfish because of the style they play as wrong, especially when they serve at the pleasure of a board or DoF.
