These are the games when you see the type of fans we have. I can’t wait til Dyche is gone but this type of game shows exactly how good he is for the right team. He is a top manager for a team at the bottom. No doubt our fans moaned at the starting line up, then also whinged at the subs even though, they were the players they wanted to start. A great tactical display from the team and the manager who excelled themselves today against one of the best teams around.
There is absolutely no doubt that these players are 100% behind Dyche.
Anyone who has anything negative to say about today has shown themselves up completely.

Think the last few posts summarise the feelings..................don't concede and I am happy. Not try to win. We need Dyche and his negativity to be relieved by TFG asap.
Unfortunately we have a lot of clueless fans, about 1% of fans expected anything out of today, yet a lot of our supporters moan we only took a point against a team absolutely levels above ourselves.

He's not gone though right? So I think it is worth saying on a day we're celebrating the bare minimum that it's still not good enough.

The current top half includes Forest, Brighton, Bournemouth, Fulham and Brentford. It's absolutely shocking and a huge indictment of the entire management of the club that we're playing football the way we are and holding the standard we're holding given what other clubs with far less behind them are pulling off. And until that isn't happening anymore we should all be shouting it.
Those teams deserve to be where they are, we don’t we are awful, and comparing ourselves just shows how out of touch are fans are. We must be the most entitled fans around. We’ve been dog ship for years, and people need a reality check.

But why are we so much worse? Do people really think any of those squads have that much more talent? Fulham’s most productive attacker is Iwobi, a player most here would swear was bad and couldn’t wait to see the back of.

The gap is largely down to management. We haven’t had a competent manager (for our level of football, sorry Carlo it couldn’t work here) since Silva. 6 years of incompetence takes its toll. At the same time it can start to turn around by first and foremost making the choice to turn it around.

You’re right, we’re not going to fly up the table overnight, but there are plenty of examples of it being a quick enough process. By this time next season we can be much better.

We’re awful because we repeatedly hire managers who actively make the choice to be awful and then wonder why we’re awful or say we can’t do anything else. Just choose to be better. Hopefully new ownership will.

That was a good result and Dyche did a good job there.

Sit deep and try and create something was the right option, but that central midfield is so bad then you also add in Harrison to the mix it’s frighteningly bad.

Horrible to watch, yes, it’s a core midfield of players suited to play that way. Gueye can run and tackle, Mangala better on the ball but slow and Doucoure is just there to close down isn’t he with hope he might do something.

If people are wanting more from yesterday and saying we should be giving it a go, if we did that we wouldn’t have a point.

Until we replace those three midfielders this team isn’t going to be playing pretty football

Just imagine in a years time from now we've only won 8 league games would everyone accept that?
After a bunch of investment? Or in similar restrictions? How many draws / losses
You do get points for draws y'know Bry!

A few more wins would be nice, but it's not like we're losing every week. We've lost 6 out of 15. Or 22 out of the last 53. Or 29 of Dyche's 71 matches in charge. Pragmatism indeed.
We don’t lose much under Dyche. We are probably two match winners away from being a top half side. Our side definately doesn’t have a match winner.

as the commentary said "I would hate to have a season ticket at Everton" Tim Sherwood.

If we didn't have pickford we would have been destroyed

even if we didn't get wingers in, Dyche will instruct them to defend, as Joe Hart said the other day in his interview, all Dyche is interested in is clean sheets

Yeah of course he is.
There is no point in trying to out play Arsenal yesterday.
But a match winner on top of a defence is 3points.
Going back to Arsenal in the early 90s - solid defence and Ian wright up front winning matches. We don’t have that luxury. We do have one of the best defences in the entire league when we are full strength.

ask villa fans what they think about having Sherwood as manager 😂
Weak up front and defensively is even worse on the eye
