2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Well done on copying a comment above.

To be honest mate, I think it’s in the realms of acceptable to ask for a prominent post such as yourself to clarify or justify their thought process.
Copied 😂 I read your comment and replied before continuing the rest of the thread. Like most people, I usually read things in order of being posted.

We have literally already had this discussion previously so I’ll leave it there and let you continue trying to get bites from others.

It`s just your opinion that they won`t, Iraola would get a 500% wage rise, he currently earns c£1m a year whereas Dyche £5m a year. Yeah let that sink in!

Conceicao is currently unemployed.

Does Frank want a massive payrise also and a new exciting project because he seems to have stalled out at Brentford and taken them as far as they can go.

The excuse that many wouldn`t come here to defend their beloved Dyche has now evaporated, you can`t hide behind that. With TFG, the financial stability and the new stadium which will also elevate our income it is very much a blank canvass for any manager worth their salt including them named above to progress to the next level...
I agree if there is money available for a transfers and a massive pay rise many of these could be encouraged.
If it’s to come on board and get a tune out of this squad, I wouldn’t gamble at all cos it could get worse.

So who should he have selected from the box of magic players they Dyche is refusing to open?

You realise sooner or later he is leaving. Doesn’t mean he hasn’t done a good job.

maybe he thinks he needs adults around the place at the minute. There is a lot to play for. Non of the youth players have a pray of coming through or are quite immature.
End of the day I can see no player left out the squad that enhances the team.

But maybe you think we should give some youngster a day out and that gives you a stick to beat Dyche with despite getting a good result?
Doucoure although he provided vital goals in the last several seasons is not an attacking mid there are numerous players who could perform that role in a more effective manner such as I don't know ndiaye, Lindstrom, jack harrison, Garner when fit and even dwight mcneil when not injured.
dyche accomplished the set goal for the past two seasons, this season he's been shambolic for the majority of it , with poor team selections, subs , tactics and game management, the bournemouth game was calamitous. He needs to build on the squad and achieve progress regardless of the funds available , he is incapable of that task as he just puts out fires

Are you dyche's publicist? There's a lot to play for? You think he adopted the correct approach with playing experienced players whose skills have waned with it resulting in 3 wins all season how do you know the state of the youngee players it's been established that dyche has always had a predisposition against implementing youth players I most cases
The past 3 games were satisfactory results against quality teams but that's his only move adopt the siege mentality and camp ten players in front of pickford and it doesn't negate the abysmal form before we got some draws we need actually win games which I dont think he has the appetite to actually achieve those results

Will keep you up this season, as I think the mark will be around 33-35.

But I still think this squad should be good enough to avoid being involved in the direct relegation battle and reach 45 points at least.

38 probs will. But it’s just small time mentality to be fine with that. We aren’t a great team but there are a LOT of crap teams in this division.

If we could actually score goals.

The reason we don't score goals is because our entire focus is on withstanding opposition attacks our setup is not balanced. It's a little deceptive those stats as we're not like arsenal who have actual defensive tactics beyond parking the bus and can work in symbiosis with an attacking aim. You can't score goals regularly when in the rare 20% of the time we have the ball most of the players are reticent to move up with the ball due to defensive assignments. Could we have more prolific attackers sure but you pluck someone with ample goals right now from a different team they might score a couple more than what we have now but the chances are so limited and there's no coherent plan of attack.

This is the issue, in the overwhelming majority of Dyche time here we have been the lowest scorers in the league, some of that can be levelled at players but Dyche has a real ineptitude when it comes to attacking phases. Alot like Martinez with his defensive issues...

Its the basis of the thread really mate, results are either down to the manager not being good enough or the players. (Maybe its both).

Its where you land in that spectrum.

But if we could score goals wed be a really competitive PL team.

It's an ongoing problem that we had under Big Sam, Carlo, Silva (2nd season), Rafael, Lampard and Dyche. The lack of scoring a high numbers in goals.

And doesn't help we have one or probably even the most defensive manager in the league in charge.

Fair points mate and id take on board a degree of it, but id also say our best players are in the defensive unit and not the attacking one.

Oh yeah because I was only thinking about just those 3 games - sports and practice their craft all the time. Athletes, tennis players etc. golf players for instance always adjust and practice their swing. According to you however professionally footballers won’t practice their control, passing dribbling etc because their professionals even though football is littered with stories about just that.
Of course they practice it. Every day they have a ball at their feet doing high intensity training.
But their touch now is 99.5% as good as they will ever be. They aren’t going to improve that without practicing that at the expense of other training requirements, and that .5% is going to change them as a player.
You can see that the training goes a lot into planning, positioning. Because in dyches view, that was the best way to get the points required for survival this season.

Agree, Dyche set up really stifles our attacking players and that is what forms my opinion that this manager is holding us back.

TFG also want to make the most of our academy yet we have a manager that point blank refuses to play younger players unless absolutely desperate.

This is true, we have a CB pairing and Pickford that are good enough to be top half.

But in the attack, apart from Ndiaye there is still a lot to do and probably individually it's one of the weakest squad. McNeil has his moments as well, but we need to upgrade 2-3 positions and to combine with a manager that has good attacking idea, but also knows to find the defensive stability that was build up by Dyche.
