2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

The selling of Onana paid for all of that, surely?
We`ve signed 4 players and lost a really crap one in the majority of peoples views on here...

My view is Onana is a very very good footballer but will not work in a League 1 managers set up and being bypassed for 90 minutes. Dyche didn`t know how to use him or even worse wasn`t ineterested in the slightest.

Dyche will cause good players to leave this club and restrict the quality we can sign... if you`re a good footballer and any other PL club wants you why are you signing for Everton? We`ve got everything going for us but this manager has no interest in playing football and that is what players want to do....

Ultra consistent. Thanks GafferView attachment 288094
Consistently crap... some people need to wake up... sometimes I wonder why we are where we are and then I see a few (Way more than we`d like to) defending the crap Dyche serves up and his failure to get results and then I`m reminded we probably have the club our fans want!!!

I wish as a fanbase we could get everyone away from this pro Dyche faction wanting to just exist in the PL at all costs.... and have some proper ambition from your football club, you can do that now Moshiri is gone, want a better Everton guys FFS.

Dyche has done well in December
and this seems mean
But how much of it is down to Branthwaites return.
He and Tarkowski have been excellent.
Got to wonder how much of that is down to Dyche. Thats a genuine question, I have no idea.
Could the fullbacks safely get forward more?
We also seem to still be clueless on the break.

I guess the question is, would a new coach be able to implement more attacking football while keeping the defense so tight.
I dont know, but I'd like to find out.

Would it matter if we conceded more if we were scoring more and winning games, if a new manager could give you 2 or 3 wins that would take Dyche 6-9 games to get that sort of points return...

Reward in this league favours the brave and the ones willing to go and get wins...

What?

Like what?

What?

Like what?

- A place in what is broadly considered to be the most competitive and compelling league in the world.

- A state of the art purpose built stadium, with bells and whistles in a location that is the envy of many clubs across Europe.

- Training facilities that are up there with the best across the league (with a commitment to invest from new owners).

- New billionaire owners, saying all the right things about the right things that leads you to suspect they have the medium/longer term success at the heart of decision making.

...then Dyche, playing anti football, that would have any half decent prospect, with any ambition of growing in the game running for the hills?

Everything bar the clubs playing style and manager is screaming progressive and upwards trajectory since the takeover and with the stadium on the horizon.

New ownership which brings about fanancial stability
Able to actually sign players given the above
New Stadium which also brings increased revenue

Feels like a fresh start... accept it isn`t when you allow Dyche to influence a transfer window with players that will be no use next season if he isnt going to be there. Which I`d suggest if they let him have January they plan on keeping him longer than the end of the season.

I think you could make this argument for a few of our players, or at least some form of justification of why they aren't performing to their potential.

I've said multiple times: do you think the forward players in our team enjoy their football here? Will training improve them as a player?

I’ve never been a huge fan of DCL, but he has strengths that dyche obviously doesn’t play to. I think he would have more than 2 goals in every other prem team bar probably Southampton.

I think an average bottom half side can become a top 10 side with a Couple of good attacking full backs, which is the modern way and also helps your wide players. And give the opposition something more to think about, ours go
Forward rarely and when they do it’s half hearted, our wide players are easy to defend against, which doesn’t help anyone especially DCL

Probably yes but, I mean he has 9 big chances missed this season of which probably 5 come from Ipswich and many games without good service. Also many more than last season.

He's maybe call me mad for saying that surviving with spells like Dyche. One breakout season, but often relegation numbers and short good spells of scoring and then again a longer series of not scoring.

Full backs are an issue skillwise and tactically. Myko clearly has problems going forward, Coleman has decent crossing at times, as Young and Patterson. Despite that we can see what this can cause like in the Bournemouth game early season.

It's something we need to address, apart from 2 starting wingers and an ST.

Getting £50m for the Onana we had here is one of the best sales we’ve ever done, and probably one of the only positives since Thelwell has been here. Onana will be back abroad within 2 seasons.

To also continue on that point last season Everton won 48 points, no chance we hit that tally under Dyche this season which shows clear regression despite spending c£50m in the summer...

So if we win one of the next 2 we'll have P19 and be on 20pts.

Yet theres "no chance" we can gain another 28pts with January signings?

Weve had Branthwaite out, Garner out, Chermiti out to point out 3 and we lost Onana.

Meanwhile DCL has been on his holidays and Mykolenko is having a poor season.

Not sure why we cant improve 2nd half of the season?

The other interesting thing of course is TFG have a transfer policy at Roma whereas they only sign players 23 or younger, Dyche only likes playing the old guard.

Interesting, who signed Hummels?
