2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

What are you on about.

He played mostly left wing at Leeds one season, the other seasons he was 60/70% left wing and the rest either on the right or in the middle.

Just gone through his transfermarkt and he played one game at left back for Leeds.

I never said he played left back though did I, I said he played left wing back, because he did and I watched it with my eyes several times. He never played on the right at Leeds at all so I’ve got no idea where you’ve got that from.

Nah people saying he isn’t able to try different systems aren’t Everton fans.
Bit of weird comment. Nearly 20 years tenure as a season ticket holder but I can call a spade a spade. This manager is crap, these players are crap.

He can change systems but because we’ve recruited terribly and haphazardly for years we had a squad that isn’t tailored for any particular system/style of play.

The whole root cause of all of this mess is Moshiri, he had the opportunity to get proper football people in and just leave them to it. Instead he couldn’t help getting involved, getting his mates involved, making mad managerial choices. Giving managers too much power in recruitment.

That’s why we’re here. Dyche is the culmination of allllll of this [Poor language removed].

I suppose we ended up with the same amount of points that most predicted from the last four games - probably two more in fact, considering Forest's form suggesting a probable draw. It's strange how, with hindsight, how annoyed/disappointed we all are. But the fact is, we can all see how Dyche's tactics have turned us into his Burnley, but without the original romance of a once great team being back in the top tier. He eventually took them down and I think we all know he'll do the same to us if he stays.

For someone who supposedly thinks the manager is crap you really are going out of your way to try and convince us he can’t possibly do anything else with these players and passively absolve him of blame.

With your 20-year season ticket were you sat in the stadium yesterday not thinking “Broja is isolated, he could with someone closer/next to him?”

If yes: a different formation
If not: I assume you only go there for a sing song

Played there plenty.

Didn’t play left wing back either.

Might have seemed that way in Bielsa’s mental 4-3-3.

The manager is crap, I genuinely dislike the fella as well.

But - and here’s the kicker - the players are also crap! Would you believe they can both be true?!

I’m not absolving him of anything, he’s got a crap hand to play with, but he’s basically wearing mirrored sunglasses he’s that bad.

This is all a culmination of years of woeful management from the top down. But please don’t kid yourself into thinking these players are fit to wear the shirt either. Utterly disgraceful on the whole.

A properly ran Everton and Dyche/Allardyce/Benitez are just a joke in the pub where they belong.

Well it’s not, is it? Different formations offer different options both offensively and defensively. If they didn’t why on Earth would people ever invent different ones.
Well they would be used to make the most of players they have and would normally have players suitable for the roles.

We can play any set up or formation but it wont magically make any of our full backs good players or make our midfielders take one touch too many etc.

I'm not saying we shouldn't change it by the way, I'm just saying that the end result would probably be the same or worse as we don't have anyone to make that difference.

He could, I would try 3-5-2 I’ve just said that. I don’t think it’s a magic bullet though because our players don’t suit much really. You chop/change formations but create different problems.

Broja was isolated yesterday but we didn’t get annihilated in transition really. If we have Gana/Mangala in there as a two they get walked through by 90% of the league. Plus your creativity out wide then is Young/Mykolenko.

Whatever you do there are glaring issues unfortunately.

I agree the end result would probably still suck but we at least have to try. Embarrassing to get £5m per year and only play one way.

Forest lost a CB in the warm up yesterday and instead of just swapping one in to play 3-4-3 they thought hmm nah let’s swap in a winger and go 4-2-3-1. Bet Dyche was running around with his clip board flummoxed.

You say the players definitely crap but how is that assessment conclusive if the manager is also crap , terrible managers have a tendency of hindering players from player their best football especially one who lacks any tactical versatility

Pretty conclusive from looking with my eyes and judging what they’ve all done elsewhere.

Done this before but;
Pickford - good goalie
Young - 40
Tarkowski - career circling the plug, average at best
Branthwaite - very talented
Myko - worst lb we’ve ever had
Gana - 35?
Mangala - our opponents yesterday binned him after battling relegation
Doucoure - career circling the plug, average is too kind
Harrison - see above
N’Diaye - talented but struggled in France, had a good season in the championship
Broja - remember them 6 goals for Southampton?

Am I genuinely missing something gents?! How is anyone defending this shower? Is it clutching at straws? Surely other people can see that both manager and players are crap.
