2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Who else should he play?

Lindstrom I guess but he is very much a grafter himself.

With Garner and McNeil out we don't really have anyone else to play but Doucoure unless I am forgetting someone?
I was pulling my hair out at the amount of times Doucoure found himself with the ball on the break yesterday. Seems incapable of either picking a pass or of driving forward at pace. I'm convinced that Ndiaye would be an immediate improvement there - allows Harrison to play wide left and Lindstrom wide right for the time being.

Pretty conclusive from looking with my eyes and judging what they’ve all done elsewhere.

Done this before but;
Pickford - good goalie
Young - 40
Tarkowski - career circling the plug, average at best
Branthwaite - very talented
Myko - worst lb we’ve ever had
Gana - 35?
Mangala - our opponents yesterday binned him after battling relegation
Doucoure - career circling the plug, average is too kind
Harrison - see above
N’Diaye - talented but struggled in France, had a good season in the championship
Broja - remember them 6 goals for Southampton?

Am I genuinely missing something gents?! How is anyone defending this shower? Is it clutching at straws? Surely other people can see that both manager and players are crap.

This manager was sold to us as a manager that could work with crap players and get them performing to an average standard. We’ll he clearly can’t, so sack him and bring in one that can.

This squads lacks of a few very important things aside coaching no doubt, but the main task of manager is getting results and he doesn't deliver them. If we had like 23 points as of now, I'd say ok, that's acceptable, the style turgid, but let it expire and then we move on. Because entertainment for me is 2nd in football.

He set the benchmark with 48points. Why have we regressed 12 goals over 2023 under him, why 2024 have we won 6 points less than in 2023 over a 38 games season, with I'd say individually a bit better team, but still same level in terms of league comparison.

It's not that we lost or drew many games due to bad luck and missing chances. The table and goals conceded/scored are pretty accurate to the stats. We don't play like bottom 3 team, but not like someone that could be 12-13th what I do expect of this squad.

He’s done that on the most part hasn’t he.

He’s failed on that remit this season for sure. But I don’t want another crap manager, do you?!

Ideal scenario we can spend in January and get a proper manager in.

He’s put us in a relegation battle by design so for now I want a manager that can first and foremost get us out of his mess and put us into the safe loving embrace of mid table. A competent manager could do that without spending a penny.

As long as we are digging out the odd draw with doucoure he stays as dyche loves that over any idea of creating first.
His first thought is destroying and stopping.
Irony being doucoure isnt even that great at that.

Both the manager and the players are crap. I'd gladly see him sacked today but I don't have the confidence of others that somebody else will get a consistent tune out of what we currently have. I think this is a really poor squad which is slightly underperforming, maybe we get a new manager boost or something from a change of scenery/approach but I think long term we'd still end up back roughly where we are because there is just a massive lack of quality in the side. We need investment in January and we need to make sure we use it well.

Please no more Harrison. Surely McNeil will be back next match?

It’s a sad state of affairs when I’m pining for McNeil.

Exactly.

No way this squad is mid table quality. We’re 15-20th fodder and luckily the last two seasons the three promoted sides have been terrible. Only outlier here is Leicester if they sack RVN by early March and try someone else, should be gone by then though.

I don’t see anyone above us that we can consider ourselves better than realistically, other than purely ‘we’re Everton though aren’t we’ - yes we are, but Jack Harrison is our best right winger.

Its been an ongoing argument on here for some time now, you have the 'look at this shower, whats he supposed to do' camp. And you have the , 'he should be getting more out of the decent players we have'

Personally i'm in the latter, its obvious we aren't top 8/10 but again, going back to Forest........i wouldnt call there back 6/7 better than ours, i'd even argue man for man, ours is better. They have quality (or pace) going forward, and seem to have patterns of play which we don't have, apart from 'lump it down the line'

Pickford - England number 1, played in 2 international finals, seen by most as our 2nd best ever goalie
Young - Experienced PL performer, legs are obviously not there, but offers alot
Tarkowski - Seasoned PL centre back who should of been picked by England based on last seasons form, involved in 12 clean sheets in his last 25 games
Branthwaite - Future England regular, probably would be already if it wasn't for injury
Myko - Ukraine international (best i can say)
Gana - Experienced midfielder, who still has legs and has played at the highest level
Mangala - £25m midfielder, has been very good for us since he got in the team
Doucoure - can score a goal, we dont tend to win games without him
Harrison - Nice hair
N’Diaye - A box of tricks, Morgan Gibbs White shown at the weekend what a man of quality can do in a central position
Broja - Albanian international, been unlucky with injury's, has all the tools to do well in the right team

Them stats of how many wins we have had for each month of 2024 is shocking 😲
Only a small time thinking club would let that continue 🤔 ye Burnleys and Stokes or your Prestons etc, not a club who have 9 titles European trophies and FA cups in their history.

TFG OVER TO YOU.

WIN LOSE OR DRAW OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF FIXTURES, THE FANS NEED TO LET THIS CLOWN KNOW WERE HE STANDS

You say the players definitely crap but how is that assessment conclusive if the manager is also crap , terrible managers have a tendency of hindering players from player their best football especially one who lacks any tactical versatility
He’s right the majority of the players are crap could some one coach them better set them up better? Absolutely but pass decisions or even a basic pass getting there is on the player first touches of semi pro players and inability to find the back of the net. I mean Doucoure can just about stand on his own 2 feet without tripping over. Mykolenko is absolutely awful one of the worst premier league players I’ve had the misfortune of watching EVERY week. DCL has lost heart and who wouldn’t in that set up every game on a hiding to nothing. I will stop there as the list goes on. But you’re also right about the managers lack of tactics and versatility
