2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

The key is to show you are looking at different ways of winning games. iPad wouldn’t let me do the formation but I’d try this….

Pickford

3 CBs - JT (RCB), JB (CB), VM (LCB)

2 WBs - Patterson (R), Young (L)

3 CMs - Idrissa, Garner (when fit), Ndiaye (CAM)

2 Strikers - Broja and DCL

Come at me!!
VM LCB have a day off can’t even play his own position, I’d rather Michael Keane there who when played this season did ok but he also is not good enough so o Brien should then get a chance but won’t because the manager is clueless and won’t try anything different

They’ve really not got a “great” squad at all. Their manager has got players like Anthony Elanga, Neco Williams, Ryan Yates, Chris Wood, Ola Aina etc performing far above their actual level. These are all players that have been playing in the Premier League for years, including at Forest under Cooper, and have vastly improved as a result of being coached better. None of these players will be getting a move to a bigger club in the summer. Please stop trying to make excuses for our manager.
Elanga, Williams, Wood, Aina stroll backwards into our starting 11 as nailed on starters.

If you don’t rate them, let that settle in.

You'd like the flanks protected and worked by a nearly 40 year old, and a prospect that has made 41 appearances* in two years?

Are these new ways of winning games for the opposition? Because the first area of interest will be in behind Young with Myko in no mans land (arf!) and then a big lad gambles front or back post and eventually finds the header.

We're carrying to much dross, with a few top players you can carry a bit, but that quality aint there for us.

So what? You said they were great players, they’re not great players. They are players that have been at Forest for years and have simply gone up a level under a different manager. I’m not sure how you’ve managed to twist that into me saying I don’t rate them like. It’s got absolutely nothing to do with our squad either, it’s an example of some players that have improved by playing under a better coach, don’t understand why that’s so difficult for you to grasp or seemingly so hilarious that you have to respond with laughing emojis.

Five of their summer signings played yesterday.

Oh and they sacked who again?!

How has it worked out for Man United with Amorim? It’s not this basic mate ffs.

A better comparison is Villa.

Gerrard had a squad of very good players, crap coach. Emery comes in…

Cooper had a squad of pretty good players, crap coach, they then added to that in the summer. Nuno isnt some genius, they’ve got a great squad there.

We have a crap manager, with a crap squad of players. Open your eyes to them as individuals, it’s horrific ffs.
Again you are bleating this but these horrific individuals got 48 points last season, level with Brighton and some way clear of Forest... can`t be that bad can they?

Skirted the issue here, they have got abysmal since last season? Despite adding NDaiye who seems to be our only creative outlet...

Why is Dyche not getting a better squad of players ahead of what they achieved last season?
Because relatively you don’t strengthen if everyone else strengthens around you/strengthen more?

How backward is that? ‘We’re better than we were last year so why aren’t we doing better?!’

Well yeah, maybe arguably we’re slightly stronger? (Debatable)

The leagues improved far more than we have, across the board.

Can't wait to the day that we can close this thread and never speak his name again
I'm looking forward to his appearance on high performance telling us about all the stuff behind the scenes that are tiny brains wouldn't understand that made his job so hard, but then to proceed to not actually say what these things behind the scenes were.

Play Keane there then. VM is not a good attacking full back, confidence shot. I am aware of the general fan sentiment with him which I share, but sometime you find (which is why trying things is good) the people play better with less demands of them and more support around him in the form of JB one side and AY at times on the other, the only demand would be defensive but given the post was about formation less so personnel, if you want to play Keane there that’s fine.

Elanga and Williams are 22 and 23 respectively, I don't think we know what their levels are. Wood is miles better than any striker we have. He regularly scored 10 goals per season in a Dyche squad.

I'm not making excuses, he sucks and needs to go. Forest are punching above their weight, there's no way they're the 2nd best club in the PL. But their squad is, at this point, much better than ours and not dragged down by anchors like Tarkowski, Doucoure, Mykolenko, the ghost of whichever RB we play.

WBs are up and down are they not? Push on with the ball, but narrow in without, again just an opinion, but my general po8nt was that Dyche does not try anything. What would you do?
