2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Here is how it's going to go.

We'll lose to Villa, super hostile crowd and Dyche will get sacked. Baines will be appointed caretaker, Goodison will be roaring and we'll beat Spurs, who will then sack Ange.

Brighton & Leicester will decide if Baines sees out the season as caretaker or if we have an appointment lined up going into the break.

Thank me later.

I reckon he gets Peterborough, Villa & Spurs. Two defeats in the league games and I reckon he's gone either way. Could even get the boot after Villa..

This is what I thought before that Myers article - lose to Villa and he's gone, but fail to win against either Spurs or Villa (tbf a bit of an ask) and he'd also be gone

The article makes me wonder if it may happen sooner, but either way there's now pressure on him

I actually don’t think you will be far off the mark with that.

They need to have their number 1 target for the summer and know before the season ends that they are coming.

Then in the short term look who’s available or wants it because quite frankly Banes Coleman Moyes Carlsey cannot do any worse than this tit.

I don’t even think Unsworth or Ferguson would be worse
Cardiff have done something very similar, sacked manager, gave it to coach until May and they started getting few points, now in relegation zone and are a mess. Baines should only get it until they find an actual manager, with experience. We have way too much to lose.

Dyche has dug himself into a hole through his failure to get wins against the likes of Brentford and Southampton. Draws against Villa and Spurs won't cut it if we drop into the bottom 3.

I'm finally at a point where I think keeping him until May is a risk.

It all depends on who TFG could get in. And how does that effect Jan signings?

Usually, with a manager like Dyche who has had done well previously, I would be willing to see them being backed in Jan to try and turn things around, but he doesn't seem willing to use the players bought for him / he will take his sweet time integrating him.

For me keeping him to the end of January is very risky.

We need to get away from the Baines/ Ferguson shouts. We need an experienced Training team. The next few months are super critical…

I see it a little differently, keeping this manager is a bigger risk than employing anyone really.

No way do I want any of the Everton boys to be our next permanent manager, but I wouldn’t say no to getting them in for the remainder of the season.

Needs firing immediately. Anything like "one last chance against Villa" is utter insanity. He's proven himself unable to get us performing any better than teams that were fully, fully expected to be relegated this season and by some distance. Time should be up, the next few days will tell us all we need to know about these new owners.

We need patience for players to come back in to the reckoning and we need a couple of players through the door.

There's no need for the major surgery of dumping managers and handing out a task to an unknown quantity who may or may not get along with the players and / or be able to get a tune out of them.

Dyche is Dyche. He'll get the required level of performance once the injuries have ended and we'll get safe.

Dave you were literally saying the other day that Ipswich are doomed , you’ve just said we have a better squad than them …

Yet after half a season of football ( their first in the prem in years ) , they were a couple of minutes away from overtaking us … they are improving week on week as they get used to the league.

While we are getting worse every week like a carton of milk that has been left in the fridge for to long .

If Joe isn’t the time to have “ surgery “ when is in your opinion? How long do we wait ?
