2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Reporters are rehashing fan opinions on forums like this.

They know f.a.

Ild rather wait until hearing someone like The Bobble who will probably be a bit more connected than that.
I appreciate your flip flopping over when to believe the bobble or not. When it supports your view, you are all over it, when it doesn’t, he knows f.a.

It’s exceptional work David.

Thanks for pointing that out as I faintly recalled Dave being dubious regarding bobble's info in the past

Is it Vinny O' Connor and not Myres doing the Sky Sports Report:

Sky Sports News reporter Vinny O'Connor at Goodison Park:

"The new Everton owners have to look at the situation they find themselves in at the moment. It's just three Premier League wins all season and Sean Dyche will accept that he has to prove himself once again.

"By proving himself, that means getting results and at the moment, Everton are getting them because they are just a point above the dropzone at present. It makes sense that the owners are therefore assessing the situation.

"Don't forget, Dyche will have credit in the bank because of what he's been able to achieve in his time at Everton - keeping them up in 2023 during that final day victory over Bournemouth.

"Last season, Everton finished on 40 points and that was after an eight-point deduction because of the PSR breaches that they had incurred as well. He did that against the backdrop of off-field distractions regarding the takeover.

"Ideally, what the Friedkin Group wanted to do was get through to the end of the season and have a period of stability after completing that takeover, and then make an assessment and judgment as to the way forward.

"Dyche, his management team and the sporting director Kevin Thelwell are all out of contract at the end of the season.

"That would then be the perfect time to make a decision but because of how the results are at the moment and because Everton are being dragged once again into a relegation battle, the Friedkin Group are being to look at the situation a lot sooner."

I'm a big fan of that type of football when the alternatives last season was relegation tbh.

As has been stated many times, Dyche is a symptom of where we were/are.
He did well last season mate and I’m not going to take that away from him.

Under the circumstances and environment he was working under he did an exceptional job.

But let’s be honest, this season is a car crash and judging by his ridiculous comments at the weekend he’s not coping very well.

We simply could not carry on with this man until the end of the season.

Koeman got us European football in his first season and we gave him 3 months before he got the boot in his second season.

I think under the current points tally, the lack of goals, the disgraceful prehistoric tactics in the modern PL and being totally reliant on Pickford means that something has to change.

There was this mini-series I watched some time ago where these insects come into your home while you are sleeping, slide down your ear canal, and invade your brain.

The face and body remain the same (an angry orange) but the brain is taken over by the insect.

Tells them what to do, what to say, what to write.

@davek did you leave a window open one night?

I remember this a bit differently to most people it seems.

At the risk of defending Dyche here - I don't think Jackson had any more of a chance at saving Burnley as Dyche would have had he stayed on. They got a brief 'bounce' but after that they looked even more hopeless than they did under Dyche and went down anyway..

bloody hell. Bit harsh. 8 games. Won 3 drew 2 lost 3.
Won as many games as dyche did in nearly 30 games.
They went down on the final day of the season after leeds won at brentford i think.
I'd say he had a good go after being left an absolute mess by dyche.

Yeah he wasn’t winning 50% of his remaining games after winning 4 of the first 30.
Nearly 40% of our 13 wins last season came in April & May (one of which was the derby) as the most recent example. Just saying his teams do tend to pick up some form late in the season.

Again - I'm just playing devils advocate here. I'm not definitively saying that we should be sticking with the fella.. he's done my head in too. My original argument was that I'm not 100% convinced that Burnley binning him off for Jackson was the obvious call there in hindsight.

If he is sacked and with new owners does that mean he can tell the story of whats went on behind the scenes, as when mangers or players get sold/sacked the owners make them sign disclaimers, that they carnt talk about the running of the club,
