2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I'm a big fan of that type of football when the alternatives last season was relegation tbh.

As has been stated many times, Dyche is a symptom of where we were/are.
There has been an enormous regression between how we've played this year compared with last year

At times last year, the issue was abysmal finishing and missing lots of clear cut chances. This season, we can barely create a chance and the tactics from the manager mean that we won't create chances because no one is going forward. We have had about 6 shots on target in 5 games. Pickford makes more saves than that pretty much every game.

I have never supported the way Dyche played but at times last year there was some purpose to what we tried to do, and it was effective at times. This season the football has been significantly worse and it's not effective at all. I have no idea at all what he is trying to do.

And at the end of the day, it's still a results business. 3 wins in half a season is unacceptable under any manager with any style of play. But add in the unwatchable football and the lack of any plan, and it makes absolutely no sense to retain him as manager. I will never accept any Everton manager who goes onto a football field with no plan how to score a goal, never mind win a football match.

There is no way that a new manager comes in and does worse. This is the most unwatchable top flight football I've ever seen and it's broke me to the point I can't and refuse to watch it anymore.

Look, I don't like the fella myself, but his record in the last 7-8 games of a season speaks for itself. He could've eked out another 3-4 wins out of them in that time to give them a fighting chance that season.

Obviously we'll never know, but under Jackson they looked completely beaten by the time that season ended.

Which games were they looking ‘completely beaten’ in mate? The tight 1-0 away defeat to Spurs where Kane scored a soft pen? The 1-1 away at Villa? Or the narrow 2-1 defeat against a flying Newcastle side?

If he is sacked and with new owners does that mean he can tell the story of whats went on behind the scenes, as when mangers or players get sold/sacked the owners make them sign disclaimers, that they carnt talk about the running of the club,
The garbage he spouts, how could you believe a word of it?

Is it Vinny O' Connor and not Myres doing the Sky Sports Report:

Sky Sports News reporter Vinny O'Connor at Goodison Park:

"The new Everton owners have to look at the situation they find themselves in at the moment. It's just three Premier League wins all season and Sean Dyche will accept that he has to prove himself once again.

"By proving himself, that means getting results and at the moment, Everton are getting them because they are just a point above the dropzone at present. It makes sense that the owners are therefore assessing the situation.

"Don't forget, Dyche will have credit in the bank because of what he's been able to achieve in his time at Everton - keeping them up in 2023 during that final day victory over Bournemouth.

"Last season, Everton finished on 40 points and that was after an eight-point deduction because of the PSR breaches that they had incurred as well. He did that against the backdrop of off-field distractions regarding the takeover.

"Ideally, what the Friedkin Group wanted to do was get through to the end of the season and have a period of stability after completing that takeover, and then make an assessment and judgment as to the way forward.

"Dyche, his management team and the sporting director Kevin Thelwell are all out of contract at the end of the season.

"That would then be the perfect time to make a decision but because of how the results are at the moment and because Everton are being dragged once again into a relegation battle, the Friedkin Group are being to look at the situation a lot sooner."
Honestly, Myers and O'Connor give the very strong impression of being the last regime's sources and haven't a breeze about what the Friedkins intend to do.

This reporting by Sky today is real hedge your bets stuff. They have no idea what is happening other than a sense that the ruthless Roman Friedkins have form for firing underperforming managers. And after the Bournemouth fans' chant went viral on Saturday, eight scoreless games in 10, and a continued fall toward the drop zone, Sky are back after the Christmas break and don't want to be caught out by breaking news that they haven't got advance wind of.

I'm beginning to think all this is Sky trying to just prompt a news cycle mate, no ones putting their name to the original article - even if Myres has done an "analysis" bit.

Looked so completely beaten and hopeless in this final game against a Newcastle side that won 6 from their final 8.
