Yeah agreed, absolutely. He is missing some shockers, this isn't a question at all , but if he'd scored even 2 or 3 of the misses this season it'd be a normal environment towards him, given how little we score anyway. He's just not clinical at all lately. This season no doubt, we are far from last season and where we should be in this term and I said DCL would have had more goals in almost any other teams apart from Souton probably.
I think you forgive a striker more, if he has 12/13 goals than when he hits 7/8 goals.
In the end, we both know strikers are messured at goals.
Thought they bought Weghorst on the back of selling wood and he cost 15milThey sold Chris Wood in January and never got a replacement in too (although they had Weghurst)
They've clearly got a man at another club ready to come in in June and will stay with Dyche until then barring complete an utter panic.
Welcome back, Don Carlo!
What is the point of prolonging this. We've been playing like this all season. He's finished. We were no great shakes last season but we're not even a patch on that now. He's offering nothing as a manager on the pitch and he's blabbering nonsense off it.
I dont know why the plugs not pulled already.
Trent lad had 5 last year as well - it's about having the options and offering the danger to pull players away, but this happens with movement.
The 2 games you mentioned are probably the only two where venturing forward happened more than twice. We don't overload anything down either side or in the box, so it's a floater to DCL/Beto/Broja and usually no one else, and we're hoping for him to score there. We don't do crossing to a dangerous area, this is a schoolyard cross to anywhere in the box.

For the record wood got 3 goals in 17 and Weghorst got 2 in 20. Seems to be a narrative that Burnley sold a world class operator and replaced him with a league one player. Where have I heard that before

I agree. But our fullbacks are pretty poor with whatever you ask them to do...other than defend

I mean I know people can say "yeah if given many chances he'll score", but this is the same for any striker - Wood is a great example from this year, same everything else regarding misses, but Forest score and create a lot more overall, if they were creating as few chances as us he'd have similar stats. Salah has missed nearly double to DCL but they create a lot more for him too, it's just how it is for strikers. It's very rare to have someone who will get only 1 chance at most and actually score it, consistently.
This report that TFG are going to wait until March to sack Dyche is really concerning, hopefully its BS. If we wait this long we could be as good as down with this guy in charge.
The Friedkin Group now give Sean Dyche date he needs to turn Everton around by or he faces the sack
A date has been givenwww.everton.news
Funny what a micheal Keane can do to a team, as he did the same the year before, did Dyche Learn? No, same old same oldI think one of the major problems this season was the opening 4 games where we conceded 13 goals made Dyche even more conservative.
We conceded only 12 goals in 15 games in this period, but the problem is also only 11 goals scored.
Are they? Looking at any of their threads you'd think they can't defend either. We don't set up any full back for any success, as I said - we have no idea what to do with the position/combination of full back and winger; case and point are both wingers being deployed as wingbacks half the time and having the primary idea to defend (i.e. we overload only going back... interestingly).I agree. But our fullbacks are pretty poor with whatever you ask them to do...other than defend
